He rolled over on his mattress reaching for his loud, vibrating cell phone. As he held it in his hands, he looked at the time.

2:47 AM.

He wondered who would be calling him at this hour, his mind finally reverted to her.

He clicked the bright green button and held the phone to his ear.

"Hello?" he whispered, trying not to wake his band mates who were sleeping only a few feet from him.

All she could do was whimper and let the tears and broken breath speak for her.

"Hello?" he spoke again, this time a little bit louder, "Mitchie?"

Her "Sh-sh-shane," was just as broken as her breath

He sat up, his eyes widening, "Mitchie?" his heart beat was racing, "What's wrong baby?"

"Please," she spoke softly, the tears still falling, "come here," she said quickly, "please, for me."

He hurriedly pounced out of bed, throwing his dark blue sheets to the floor in the process, "Of course, I'll be right over." He threw on his shoes as she sniffed on the other line, "Wait, where is there?"

"I'm at the h-hospital."

"What?" his eyes were bugging out of his head, "Why? What's happening?"

"Just please get here quickly." She hastily said, curling her legs up in the chair she was in.

"I"ll be right over." He said, tears threatening to fall. The pain was evident in her voice and that absolutely killed him.

"Shane!" she loudly spoke, grabbing his attention.

"Yah?" he said, grabbing his keys and walking out of his room.

She hesitated to say what was on her mind, it would be the first time she ever said it, "I-I love you, Shane."

She stopped dead in his tracks as he was reaching his car.

"I love you more than anything, Mitchie."

"Shane, be. Careful." She warned, as he on the other line nodded to himself.

"I'll be right there." And he heard the line click.

Shane ran through the corridor of the hospital and shoved past a few people, making his way to the nurses desk.

He slammed his hand on the counter five times, grasping the attention of the nurse on the other side.

"Torres." He said loudly, almost in a yell, startling he young woman.

"Uhm, right over there." She pointed down the hall, "Room 24."

"Got it, thank you." he yelled as he was running down the hall, getting looks from many.

He stopped three feet from the entrance and took a deep breath.

Twisting the door knob, he looked inside to find an empty bed, and a nurse talking to a teary eyed Mr. Torres.

Right behind him was Mitchie…sitting in a dark corner, in a chair, curled up in a ball.

He walked over and kneeled down beside the chair. She wasn't moving. She just sat in the same position, her breathing very steady, unlike how she was holding up on the phone.

"Mitchie…" he breathed out naturally, watching her head lift up, meeting his eyes.

Her face was full of pain. The tears were falling over the tear stains and her broken heart was viewable in her eyes.

It took her a few moments but her final response was lifting up and grasping onto Shane with everything she had, crying into his neck.

"Mitchie, babygirl, what's the matter?" he tried to sound calm, and serene. He wasn't completely sure it was working.

All she did was cry. And shake in his arms.

Mitchie could honestly say she felt safe in his arms.

A/N: I know it's short. No, I won't continue, I jus wanted to capture a sweet, painful moment between Shane&Mitchie.

Reviews would be nice, ya know? (:
