Author's Note: . . . because even Lorina deserves to have some angst happen in her life. Just kidding. But getting serious now, is this the most crack-filled crossover pairing that I have written for so far or what?

Disclaimer: Young Justice & Joker/Clover/Heart no Kuni no Alice do not belong to me in any shape or form (including characters). Thank you.
She wants to avert her eyes away but she can't.
All she can do is sit there and watch as the reporter delivers the news of their once again defeat and at the sight of them – of him – makes her heart constrict as a terrible ache settles over it.
How could they do this?
How could he?
The footage of them being played looks nothing like them at all. Yes, it's inevitable because people do change over time andit'sbeenseven years since she last saw them but no matter what, it'll always be hard for her to come to terms with. That this is what they've chosen to become. No longer does he look like that sweet Southern boy she remembers meeting from so very long ago.
"I always knew they were trouble." Edith, her youngest sister, states as the report about the Terror Twins comes to a close and hands the spotlight over to the weatherman. It surprises her that she even remembers them. Only once did they meet and it wasn't for very long. Something must have shown on her face because she stops in mid-sentence of calling them 'heinous brutes' and says, "Lorina? Are you feeling all right? You look as if you're falling ill."
"It's the heat that's gotten to me is all." Murmured Lorina as she elegantly rose from her seat. Part of her is glad that Alice is out of the house and spending her time with a friend instead. Another part of her selfishly wishes that she was here, just so she could spill her troubles to her. "I think I'll go lie down for a while."
And it is only when the door closes behind her (tucking her safely away within the walls of her room) that Lorina Liddell crumbles to the ground in an ugly mess of tears and choked back sobs.
She's unraveling at the seams and it's all because of Tommy Terror.
