Exam season approached in a flurry, with an unfortunate side-effect. Mama had sighed and speculated until every one of her friends had agreed – no travelling to the past until finals were over.
But that didn't mean the past couldn't come to her.

One furry appendage cocked forward. "Help?"
She hummed an agreement.
He huffed and scowled, but reluctantly tilted his head forward. "If it'll help you…"
She nodded, eager fingers wrapping gently around soft ears. Kagome sighed in deep contentment as she crooned over the hanyou – finally at ease.
