Was re-watching some of my favorite SG-1 episodes and this popped into my head. Enjoy :)
The four members of SG1 were sat in the mess, eating breakfast and talking about anything and everything. Jack and Sam sitting on one side of the table, with Teal'c and Daniel sat facing them.
Daniel looked between Sam and Jack and said, with a smirk on his face, "You two do realise that in almost every reality we've visited or been visited by, the two of you are married, or at least together."
Sam inhaled her blue jello in shock and then burst into a coughing fit. Jack reached across and pounded her on the back. After she had stopped coughing, and had nodded to Jack to indicate that she was ok, Jack turned to look at Daniel, and glared at him.
Daniel shrank back in his seat but stared back at Jack and said, "Think about it Jack. When I visited the alternate reality, you and Sam were married. When Doctor Carter came through the mirror, in her world the two of you were married."
Teal'c gave a slight nod and said, in his deep voice, "Indeed."
Looking over at the still red Sam, Jack said, "So why are you bringing it up now?"
Daniel shrugged, "The thought just popped into my mind and I had to say something."
"Daniel, we live in this reality," Sam said, "And in this reality we're air force officers."
"Yeah Sam, we know," Daniel said, "I was just pointing out that the universe obviously thinks you belong together." He quickly gathered up his plate and beat a hasty retreat, leaving a stunned Sam and Jack behind.
The two of them looked at each other, the shock written over their faces. Teal'c looked at them, gave them a small smile only someone who knew him would see and followed Daniel.
Sam and Jack looked at each other, then Jack sighed, "D'oh."
