Author's Note: hey Guys this is my first story ever! Please Review and tell me what you think- but keep in mind it is still very rough.

A small smile crept onto Serah's face as she watched Lightning sleep; her chest rising and falling as she breathed in and out. Serah was lying next to Lighting on the bed at eye level and gently pressed her palm against Light's now tiny hand. Her whole hand just about managed to fill Serah's palm. How had her protective older sister managed to be transformed into a defenceless 2 year old baby?

Flashback

Fang and Vanille came happily skipping towards Lightning and sat on either side of her on the log she was sitting on. Both wore a cheeky grin. A look of confused annoyance passed across Lightning's face but then settled to the usual passive aggressive expression. Fang held out a flower in front of Lightning's face: her smile from ear to ear. "Eat this" she says now looking at Lightning, eyes ablaze with intensity. "Ohh Come on, it will help relax you a little bit. Even me and Vanille will eat one with you". Fang forces the flower into Lightnings hand. "All you gotta do is pull off a petal and place it on your tongue and it dissolves". "And fizzles too!" Vanille cherpily adds in. The answer that came from Lightning was the same answer that anyone would get when asking her to do something that wasn't necessary and did not help the mission; "No". "Aww come on Light. Me and Vanille have already eaten like 10 petals each and it hasn't done anything to us". Vanille quickly stands up and spins around as if to prove that her behaviour is normal. The flat and slightly bored answer of "No" still passes Lightning's lips. "Your gonna regret saying No to US Sunshine". Fang stands up and walks away and Vanille happily skips along behind her, with a wicked grin still plastered on her face.

A few hours later...

Fang and Vanille had spent the rest of the afternoon experimenting with the orchid looking purple flower with the little white spots on the tips of the petals. They had found the flower while scouting the area and had been attracted to the clearing in which grew the strange looking flower by the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread. They had come to the conclusion that it was the purple flower emitting this delectable odour. The next thought crossed their mind simultaneously. What did the flower actually taste like? And so Vanille picked one of the flowers and inspected it intensely. Finally she plucked a petal off of the unlucky specimen and carefully placed it into her mouth. A squeal of delight from her convinces Fang, who is also closely inspecting the flower, to do the same. The second the petal touches her tongue, a cheeky grin spreads across her face.

In conclusion to their experiments, they had discovered that when the flower petal was crushed it changed to become clear and odourless and also after crushing, placing it in your mouth and squeezing with your tongue released a sweet sugary tasting solution. Their plan was set. They were going to sneak the crushed flower petals into Lightnings drink during diner. Snow would be cooking today, Sazh would stay and guard him, Light and Fang would go scouting as usual for tomorrow's food and Hope and Vanille would go collect some water. All Vanille had to do is distract Hope long enough to add the correct crushed flower into Light's water before it is served. She would crush another non-toxic flower, that looked similar to the purple orchid- looking specimen (when crushed) and add it into everybody else's drinks so that the only thing they would suspect was that she had added some decoration and had finally managed to make their water look attractive.

Light stood at the edge of a cliff, gazing out at Grand Pulse. If she admitted to herself- this was probably the most beautiful place she had ever seen. "Like what you see, sunshine?" an rough Australian accent asked from somewhere behind her.
