My second AJ story - Hope you like it!! Please review!!

Twilight Saga is not mine etc etc etc (If it was , this couple would get A LOT more page and screen time!!)

They had been swimming for less than half an hour when Jasper stopped suddenly. Alice, who was ever so slightly ahead of him, only because she was leading the way, stopped as well and turned, a worried expression on her face. She had obviously not been looking for him; she had not seen that he would stop.

The water should have been cold, but it made no difference to them. The floated in place for a moment, the only sound being the small waves falling over each other.

"Jazz?" She asked, looking at him, curious and worried.

He looked at her intently, reading her like a book, or trying to, "What's wrong, Alice?" He moved closer to her, putting a hand on her shoulder, weighing her down ever so slightly. She closed her eyes to take in the feeling of comfort. But would not answer him.

He sighed, "Ever since you gave Sam that note... you've been feeling guilty and ashamed. What did you write, Alice? Tell me. Please." He looked at her, his big golden eyes begging. She knew that he would be hurting if she was, and she would never ever hurt Jasper.

"I told them to get as much help as they could find. That we would send more if we could..... That we're sorry we had to leave this way." The last sentence came out in a bit of a choke, as if she was crying and the look of pain on her face was so intense that he wrapped her into a strong hug before she could even finish the thought.

"It's ok, it's ok. They'll understand when we come back. They won't be angry, we had to do this. They know that." He blew soft air into her hair, and held her still for a while. It would've looking like one being bobbing along the water's surface.

She pulled back from him slightly, caressing his face with her wet hand, "The thing is, Jasper, that if we don't find what we're looking for...... I'm not sure I want to go back."

He stopped breathing, "Alice..." he didn't have to read her feelings to know what she was feeling this time. He was feeling exactly the same way.

"No, Jazz," she put a hand on his chest, "If there is a chance that something.... I've seen it. If we fight, we lose. I'm not going to lose you."

He looked at her, intent on making every feeling of love go from him into her. Without breaking his gaze he slowly moved her hand from his chest to around his neck, making the space between them minute. "You are not going to lose me." He reassured when their foreheads were almost touching.

She smiled ever so slightly, and he brought his mouth down over hers, gently, reassuring her that every feeling in his body was for her.

Once she pulled away slightly, he felt a warm sensation flood over him and he knew immediately that they would be ok. They looked at each other for a moment and both turned to start swimming again, each stroke in time, each splash identical to the other. There was only one was for them to do this, and that was together. And that wouldn't be a problem.
