Monday mornings are hard aren't they? Muggles, wizards, in the end they are only human and there is nothing everyone hate more than waking up at 6:30 on a Monday morning. Everyone you said? Well, everyone but Lily Evans. If you were to show up in the Great Hall for breakfast on a Monday morning, looking sleepy and groggy, I would advise you to sit next to Lily Evans. I know, you're wondering why you would want to do such a thing, am I right? Well, let me tell you. Lily Evans loves Monday mornings. She loves new beginnings, new opportunities, and she thinks that this is what Monday mornings are all about. You get the chance to start all over again. Last week was a pain in the ass? You didn't get enough work done? You didn't spend enough time with your friends? Well there you go, there is a new week just starting, you get the chance to do all of these things right. Do you want to know what Lily Evans would say to you if you were to sit next to her? She would say that Monday mornings are new chapters and that a year is basically a book composed of 52 chapters. And you never want to neglect the beginning of a new chapter. It brightens your mood doesn't it?

James Potter knew that Lily Evans loved Monday mornings and not being a huge fan of them himself he never sat next to her because he thought that he just couldn't handle so much positivity at such an early hour. But as he was entering the Great Hall on a rainy Monday morning he noticed something strange: Lily Evans looked...different? He couldn't really put his finger on it but there was definitely something wrong with her. She just did not shine, wasn't talking to her friends, drank coffee instead of tea. So he decided that this just couldn't do and took a decision that changed both their lives: he sat next to her.

"But all these line and grey refine, they are the maps of our design,

Of what began on a Monday morning"

Ok well I don't really know what this one is about but I've just been listening to "Monday Morning" by Death Cab for Cutie and just got inspired I guess? I don't know if this is going to evolve in some sort of longer story or if it is just a one-shot. I don't know, I'm pretty sure that my over-positive Lily Evans might be annoying in a Mary-Sue kind of way.
