Prompt/Quote: Candy, and "Never fight an inanimate object".

It was a cold winters day, colder than usual, and the Hogwarts students had come for one of their regular visits. The day being unusually cold, many students had chosen to crowd inside Honeydukes sweets shop for the warmth. A particular couple, 5th year Hufflepuffs Hannah Abbott and Ernie Macmillan, had done just this.

"It's so cold!" Ernie complained, hugging Hannah to keep himself warm.

"Well, Ernie, I told you that you should've put a jacket on." Hannah said, and Ernie rolled his eyes.

"But it was too hot for the jacket in the common room! I didn't know it was going to be so cold here!"

"You knew it was going to be cold, it's snowing out there. And besides, it's nice and warm in here."

Ernie looked around at the shelves of sweets lining the walls, and frowned, "I want to buy something, but I don't know what."

"Aww, poor baby, you can't figure out what you're going to buy," Hannah said, with a fake pout and a babyish voice, "poor little Ernest."

"C'mon, Han, please don't call me that…" he said, pleadingly, "I hate my name. You know that."

"Yes, and I also know it annoys you and its fun," Hannah teased.

"I don't have to take this; I could go find Suzie and Justin." Ernie said.

"Well you probably wouldn't want to because they're probably off snogging somewhere."

"True… I am staying away from those two."

Ernie went back to scanning the shelves. He saw something that looked like… a bug? He silently pulled his wand from his jeans pocket, and pointed it at the object in question.

Hannah looked at her boyfriend in confusion. "What the Merlin…"

Ernie had sent a series of red sparks at a loose Cockroach Cluster, obviously thinking it was an actual cockroach. The sparks, missing their intended target, hit a container of sweets which fell and hit Ernie on the head.

"Oww in the head…" he moaned as he fell over.

Hannah giggled and knelt down to check the quickly forming bruise on Ernie's head. "And that is, Ernest, why you never fight an inanimate object."
