She just sat on the floor, leaning against her bed, mulling over the days events. She had really messed up and an entire team was gone, because of her. She knew that it was pathetic to cry, but she just couldn't get a hold of herself. She had held back tears all day, and now she let them come. Hearing some movement outside she subconsciously pulled her knees up to her chest. Placing her head on her knees the second the doors whooshed open, but she didn't move. She could feel them come over and sit next to her, not saying a word. They placed a hand over her shoulder and pulled her closer; she gave in and leaned her head on their chest. After about 10 min the tears were still rolling down her cheeks and her breathing ragged.

'Liz, what did I do?'

He said in a whisper

'No it wasn't you… I… I mean… oh I don't know John, I really messed up and now this is my fault… is shouldn't even be crying, this is ridiculous'

But neither of them moved. She concentrated on his breathing and his heartbeat in her ears, and eventually she calmed enough to piece together a sentence.

'Why did you come here John?'

She asked, keeping her eyes down

'Well I needed to make sure you were alright'

They sat in silence for a while and Elizabeth could feel her self slipping into unconsciousness. John leaned forward and said

'We should get you to bed Liz, I have a feeling you have not slept in a while'

She smiled and sat on the edge of the bed. As he made a motion for the door she said

'Please stay with me?'

He turned around and came to the bed. They curled up under the blankets and she felt his strong arm over her mid section, pulling her to him. She did not resist and found her face buried in his chest, not ever wanting to move.

'Good night Liz'

He said quietly

'Thank you'

She whispered in response, feeling herself fall in to abyss called sleep.
