Lily Evans was a muggle. Until she wasn't and until she was a witch. A "muggleborn" they called her. She didn't really mind though, muggleborn wasn't an insult. She saw it as an advantage, it only meant that she belonged to two different worlds instead of belonging to one only. People however, did mind. Not all of them but people she cared about, like Severus. And Petunia. How could someone who had known her for ever could find something to say about this? Petunia was her sister for God's sake! While in Hogwarts, Lily tried, had tried at least, to keep in touch as much as possible with her sister but as years went by she could feel that they were drifting apart. There was nothing to do about it. She could only watch it happen. She had tried to show Petunia that magic was fun, that it was nothing to be afraid of. That Lily would never hurt Petunia. But it was a lost cause, her sister had kept on pushing her away, not responding to her letters, not spending time with her when she came back for the holidays.
Maybe Lily did mind a bit. She felt as if she had had to choose between a sister and magic. She had chosen magic.
Petunia didn't hate magic. That is what Lily thought but really, she didn't. Magic was not to blame. That stupid school and the fact that Lily had to live there were to blame. She blamed the fact that she could not call Lily whenever she wanted to because, of course, phones didn't work well there. What was she suppose to do? Write a letter and give it to an owl? She had tried but it was too much for her. Those stupid owls, this stupid castle. A castle! Who did they think they were? Who needed to go to a castle to study? If it had not been for this school, Petunia would have been fine with Lily's abilities. Of course she had been afraid at first, but who wouldn't? But Lily was still her sister and at the time she had thought that they could still grow up together. But they didn't and now it was too late. They would never get the time they had spend apart back. And Petunia had grown to be fine with it.
Hi readers! I just wanted to write a note to make things clear: I am not actually a writer, I want to be a beta-reader but will only allow it if I publish a few stories sooo here I am. Honestly this is probably super basic and not very good, as I said I am not a writer, but there it is.
