The fifth day can be very cruel.

Krul frowned as she walked down the hall. The pink-haired vampire unfortunately had a lot to deal with and it was becoming bothersome.
"Is something wrong, Krul-sama?"
Glancing over at her companion, Krul replied. "We have a lot to do, Mika. I am actually starting to worry that something might go wrong."
"…Like what?" asked the blond.
"Like that fool Ferid getting in my way," stated Krul with a growl. "As long as he is still alive, my plans could be in jeopardy."
Krul watched as her guard went into thought. It didn't take long before Mika looked back at her.
"Should we go find Yu now? He might be able to help us."
It was Krul's turn to think. Yu was a big part of her plans, but unfortunately it was too early to get him involved. Especially with Ferid and his lackey still around to mess with her plans. She clenched her teeth in anger as the more she thought about it the more she realized that she can't move forward because of that silver-haired idiot. She had to come up with a way to catch Ferid off guard before she could proceed.
"Not yet, Mika. There's much to do before we can involve your friend. If we involve him now, could be seriously hurt."
She saw the fear enter his eye the moment she said those words. She knew how much he cared about the only person he had left as his family and she wouldn't let Yu get involved if it meant his death. If Yu were to die, she didn't want to see what that would do to Mika. She cared about the blond too much to see him fall apart in sorrow.
"Then what can we do, Krul-sama?"
"…We just have to play the waiting game, Mika. Once the time comes, then we will strike."
"Hai, Krul-sama."
Master and minion continued on their way down the hall after that. Krul glanced at her guard once more before looking forward.
'I won't let Mika and Yu die. I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.'
