First of all, I'd like to say that this is my first fic for any game. The main characters are Cliff, a Goron, and Wave, a Zora. This story takes place when link was in holodrum and lybinia. Evil from another dimension moves in and takes over Hyrule and is threatening to resurrect all the bosses link defeated, and since he is not there, only an unlikely alliance between land and sea can rise to the challenge. But will it be enough?
Disclaimer: the names Cliff and Wave are mine but others like zora, Goron and like-like etc. belong to Nintendo
Chapter 1
Banished?
"Wave, you've been charged with attempt to steal the spiritual stone," the judge said with a stern and unforgiving voice, "how do you plead?"
"Guilty" replied the young, strange looking Zora knowing he wasn't. He was around six feet tall, green, unlike the rest of his family, and, strangely, he had a tail. At the tip, there was a sharp rounded fin.
He closed his eyes and tried to recall the incident that had landed him in the court room.
He and his family were invited to the palace for diner. Through the tour wave had got lost and found himself in the treasure room. The walls were blue and appeared to be moving. Gems were scattered around the room, but the main focal point was the spiritual stone. Sitting on a pedestal and covered with glass. The stone itself was a blue colour and had a gold rim. Staring in awe, Wave hardly noticed that a hole had appeared in one of the walls. Then, a shadow came from the hole, swooped down and, breaking the glass that held it, stole the stone. Then, just as suddenly as it came, the shadow left and the hole disappeared. Soon after, the guards came in and, quite violently, took him to a holding cell.
"However, we should take into consideration his honesty." Continued the judge, showing no more expression then he had before, "since he did take a lot of bravery telling it to us the first time. Jury, do you have your final decision?"
An old wrinkly zora stepped up and after a bit of consideration, replied
"We have taken into consideration his honesty, however, the punishment for such a crime is..." he hesitated, as if he was about to say something awful, than continued, "death".
The crowd unanimously gasped, and started whispering to anyone who would here," he's going to die, he's going to die!"
Wave was shocked, but stayed still. He knew if he ran he would be killed. Besides, there was a chance he could get out of this alive...
" but, as we said before, were taking into consideration his honesty, and the only other option is banishment until he proves himself worthy of being a zora again." The whole room sighed with relief: no one in the zora community was in the mood for a beheading.
Wave thought for a second, than realised that anything is better than death, and at least he still had a chance...
