AN: After seeing a few fanfics where Naruto is/is trained by Shadow the Hedgehog, I decided to try my own hand at that kind of fic. This is the result. Oh and this is slightly AU.
Chapter 1-The awakening in the Forest of Death.
Forest of Death-second part of the chunin exams
It was dark in the belly of the giant snake. Having fallen unconscious from exhaustion and shock, Naruto woke up in his mindscape, specifically, the room of the Nine-Tailed Fox. Naruto was surprised to see seven colored gemstones surrounding an eighth, larger gemstone. He was even more surprised to see an anthropomorphic black hedgehog enter the room. "It is good to finally meet you Naruto. I'm Shadow, ultimate life form and warrior of chaos. You have been selected to be the next warrior of chaos." the hedgehog now identified as Shadow said.
Naruto asked what being the warrior of chaos meant, and as an answer the seven smaller gems in the room surrounded him and began to glow a bright light. Soon after, a flood of knowledge began to overtake him. Naruto knew what his powers were, he knew how to use them, and he even knew what the strange gems were and what they could be used for. His outfit also changed slightly. Naruto's sandals had been replaced with jet shoes similar to Shadow's, but orange wherever black was. Naruto's hair also changed to black with red highlights. He even wore white gloves and two golden rings, one around each wrist. When the glow died down, he marveled at his new look and powers. "Go get 'em" Shadow said with a smile as Naruto faded from his mindscape.
When he regained consciousness, Naruto was still in the snake. With a smirk he glowed red as he charged up chaos energy. He let it explode outward while exclaiming "CHAOS BLAST!" This made the giant snake explode.
Now being out of the snake, Naruto used his newfound connection to the chaos force to sense where his team was and teleported to their location in a flash of green light with "CHAOS CONTROL!"
When he appeared to his friends, they were shocked, even Shikamaru. Not only at the way he appeared, but his new look as well, though they still recognized him as Naruto of team seven. His friends were being attacked by a team of sound ninja. He introduced himself to all three teams (Team-7, Team-10, and the Sound team) present as "The new Naruto." Their leader, Dosu, seemingly oblivious to the now black haired boy, went in to kill Sasuke. Naruto used his speed to get in between them and catch his punch with his left hand. His right hand glowed red with chaos as Naruto thrusted it into Dosu's Chest and shouted "CHAOS STRIKE!" The one punch had Dosu on the ground, clutching his chest in pain and slowly taking his teams earth scroll out and setting it on the ground. Dosu and his team then ran off. Team-10 traded one of their extra heaven scrolls for the earth scroll, giving both teams a heaven and an earth scroll. with that done, teams 7 and 10 set off for the tower in the center of the forest of death.
