Melanie Baker resurfaced after her twin sister, Hannah Baker's tapes had their retribution. All her life Melanie had been in hiding. She kept in contact with her sister until her dying day. Her parents didn't want her so they sent her away to a mental institution four years ago. Hannah told her to stay away but now that she's dead, Melanie refused to listen anymore.
Liberty High needed to pay for their crimes. Hannah's suicide will not be in vain, Melanie was determined to make sure what happened to Hannah does not happen to anyone again.
