T'was the night before Christmas and all through the HUB;
Not a creature was stirring;
Not even a lob(ster-like thing);
The weapons were hung in the armory with care;
I know, because Ianto had put them all there;
The children were home, since that's where I'd sent them;
Hopefully they'd realize;
This was supposed to be vacation!
With Ianto in his PJs and I in my pants;
Had just settled down for a well deserved nap;
When up from the lift there arose such a clatter;
I sprang from my bunker to see what was the matter;
I booted the computers and checked all the screens;
And there before me was a sight to behold;
A blue box was glowing;
And the Doctor came out with a bound!
I heard the lift move;
And he came down with a bow;
Harkness and Jones!
Merry holiday to all!
He was dressed rather strangely;
With a red suit a white scarf;
His cheeks were quite rosy;
And his eyes held a sparkle;
I knew this would be a time to never forget;
On his back was a bag was full and bulging;
And I knew what was inside would be worth all the waiting;
With a flick of his wrist and smile on his face he dumped the contents;
Going straight to his work;
Presents he laid;
Along console and desk;
He laid items and packages;
Without another word he smiled and winked;
And up the lift he went watching as he went;
And then he was gone in a blink;
The sound of the TARDIS leaving;
Whirring and whining;
I listened and heard him exclaim through the door;
Time! And! Relative! Dimension! In! Space!
And he was gone from our lives.
But I heard one last message as he vanished from sight;
Happy Christmas to all! And have a good night!
