"Are you cold?"

Stiles looked over at Derek, who was standing near the broken window, staring out it. Stiles pulled his sweater closer to himself, shaking his head.

"No, I just like how it feels when I shake," Stiles replied, teeth chattering. Derek's gaze flickered to Stiles, who jerked because it happened so quickly, and if looks could kill, he'd be dead. If he weren't already dead due to losing all of his body heat.

"You're a terrible liar, Stiles." Derek's brow rose, shifting to face him. "Why didn't you bring something thicker than a sweater?"

Stiles snorted and pressed his back to the wall. Frowning when he realized the wall felt warmer than he did. "Because Scott forgot to mention we'd be in an abandoned building all night."

"C'mere."

"...What?"

"I'm not gonna say it again."

"Are you going to kill me, Derek? Because I think I'd rather freeze to death. Well, I think it'd be really cool to-"

"Stiles shut up and get over here."

"Okay." He rolled onto the floor, flailing his hands out of his pockets to push himself off of the cold floor, cautiously walking over to Derek. "You never said you weren't going to kill me."

"I'm not going to kill you," Derek said, brows raised, eyes shades lighter with the moonlight reflecting in them. "Happy?"

"Not convinced," Stiles said as he stepped up to Derek, looking out the window. "When are they gonna come around?" He asked, making a mental note to put Scott on stakeout duty. He let out a noise of surprise when he felt Derek pull him close.

"Shut up or they'll hear us," Derek growled out.

Stiles's cheeks gained even more color as he looked up at Derek. "What are you doing?"

"Keeping you warm. If I left you in that corner, they'd hear you shaking from a mile away. So just shut up and get warm."

Stiles stared at Derek, pretty sure the Alpha could hear his heart rate pick up. Swallowing thickly, Stiles pressed into Derek's warmth, head resting on his shoulder, arms slipping around his middle. He could feel Derek tense, and he was going to pull away before he felt Derek relax. A light smile covered his lips as he felt Derek wrap arms around him.

Maybe he wouldn't put Scott on stakeout duty just yet.
