A/N: Sad-song fic. Just saying that I warned you. Angel and Collins. 'Nuff said. Oh, and the song is pretty new (i.e. not 90s) but pretend it is. It's by The Corrs, btw.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of this really.

Collins entered the apartment slowly. It was so lifeless without his lover.

"How can I do this?" he muttered. He collapsed on the couch, letting the tears fall without wiping any of them away. He looked up and saw clothes, thrown off in the heat of the moment, hanging from the ceiling. That didn't help.

He looked around the apartment. He saw a picture of him and Angel, mid-kiss, in a beautiful frame. He always hated that picture, but Angel loved it so much that he never had the heart to tell her of his dislike. This brought a sob to his throat.

Collins went to the bathroom and grabbed the whole box of tissues. He couldn't remember crying this hard, ever. He needed to take his mind off of the whole saddening day. He went and flipped on the radio, blocking out memories of Angel doing so and them dancing around to whatever song was playing.

"…And here's a request from a woman named Mimi dedicated to her best friend, Angel…"

No fucking way, Collins thought.

"…her message is 'We miss you, Angel. You are irreplaceable.' Here's her request…"

No doubt about it, he thought as more tears began to fall.

A smooth guitar began.

She lived like she knew nothing lasts

Didn't care to look like anyone else

And she was beautiful, so beautiful

I still hear her laugh like she's here

Collins swore that he heard a soft giggle, sounding too much like his fallen lover. He tried not to think about it and let the song take him away.

Shower it down on all the young

It isn't so wrong to have such fun

Forever angel

I hope they love you like we do

Forever angel

I'll be proud to be like you

Be like you

(I'll be proud to be like you)

Another giggle. Collins sat up and saw Angel standing in front of him.

"Angel? No, it can't be," he muttered.

"It isn't," she said calmly. "I'm still gone, but I needed to tell you that you should move on. It hurts me to see you this sad."

Does the sun shine up at you when you are looking down?

Do you get along with the others around?

"I can't, baby. I really can't. I won't let you go."

"You need to let me go. I love you. Always remember that."

It's got to be better than before

You don't need to worry now you're gone

"I do, Angel, I do, but you're gone. What am I supposed to do?"

"Live for me. Live for both of us. Travel, help Mimi and Roger, but please don't mourn me. I'm better here."

Forever angel

I hope they love you like we do

Forever angel

I'll be proud to be like you

Be like you

Just like you

"Okay, baby," Collins whispered. He reached out and touched his ghostly lovers face.

Angel almost melted at the touch. She leaned into kiss him and gently her lips pressed against his.

And when I go to sleep at night

I'll thank you for each blessed thing surrounding me

For every fall I'll ever break

Each moment`s breath I wanna taste

Confidence and conscience

Decadent extravagance

Never ending providence

For loving when I had the chance

Collins awoke with a start. He was still on the couch he collapsed on after Angel's funeral. It had only been an hour since he laid her to rest.

Forever angel

I hope they love you like we do

Forever angel

I'll be proud to be like you

Forever angel

I'll be proud to be like you

Forever angel

I'll be proud to be like you

Wanting to escape, he walked over and turned on the radio.

"…And here's a request from a woman named Mimi dedicated to her best friend, Angel…"

"No way," he mumbled.

A/N: So I was a sobbing mess while writing this, so please review!
