~All She Needed~

All she needed was him.
And that was the one thing she couldn't have.
It almost killed her to lose him,
even though she knew there was no choice.
He was everything to her,
her present,
past and future.
They don't understand really,
but then how could they?
When you know you have no future,
you cling to what you have.
In her case it was his love,
and the knowledge that she was safe in his arms.
Hers is not a safe life,
and she is rarely allowed to lean on anyone.
They almost always lean on her,
or stand behind her.
They all thought she was just being childish and immature
when she ran away,
but they forgot how much a part of her he was.
How much she needed him,
needed the safety only he could give her.
He was all she needed,
all she couldn't live without,
and all she couldn't have.
