Where Hope Never Dies
Prologue:
A long time ago in a Galaxy far, far away . . . . . . .
In a time when the Jedi were once the Guardians of Peace, and Justice, in the Republic and in a time where hope seems to have been vanquished by the very essence of evil and destruction. Chaos has erupted throughout the entire Galaxy taking over everything that was once engulfed in the Light.
The Jedi were so desperate to save what was left of the Republic and all that was worth protecting.
They would have saved it all if it weren't for a corrupt politician opting to have some crude petition to be signed by those who have no love the Jedi and that the Jedi ought to be removed immediately.
What was the current Chancellor to do? But more importantly, what was the Jedi to do. The Dark side has clouded their vision
Not many hold the Jedi in great esteem and those few that dislike the Jedi have managed to find a way to destroy the pitiful brethren.
What was the Jedi to do to save themselves from this perilous predicament when they are currently too caught up between a tough place? They believe that their creed in the Force will find a solution, but they couldn't that simple solution that'll save them all from the approaching Darkness? They didn't have the numbers, didn't have anyone to back them out in their time of need.
So many questions and answers have been left unsaid. The Jedi were cast aside like rotten scraps.
Every single one of the Jedi was forced to leave the only home they have ever known for a new home. They had nowhere else to go where they could regroup so that they could discover the true meanings behind all of this.
And it was because of the dismemberment of the Jedi, that chaos and disruption had taken over the Republic. That was when the people of the Republic knew they had made the biggest mistake ever made. No one ever truly knew that the moment the Jedi had disappeared that everything that was once good and pure in the Galaxy would be swept away. The Jedi would have kept the Darkness from taking over. At least for a time.
But alas!
It is already too late.
Darkness has won its battle and the Light was powerless to stop it.
How could the Darkness be so triumphant when it has only one a small victory that had changed the course of destiny? The future of the Republic now hangs in the balance and there is nothing the public can do anything about it. They are too powerless to redo the wrongs that they have caused.
There is no hope for the Republic, or even for the entire Galaxy, now. To trust in a fool's hope is worthless. It would be just a waste of time to pray for single ray of hope. The free peoples of the Republic will just have to give in to the Darkness and to allow it to control them for a time.
How could they have been so stupid as to sign that petition that had changed the course of the future? The future isn't what it used to be, no more.
One day perhaps everything will be set right but that day may never come in the near future. And perhaps on that one-day the free peoples of the Galaxy will have a true reason to believe in a hope. The day when all hope returns will be the day worth celebrating for. But that day is yet to come in the near future.
A/N: Please forgive me for the shortness of this short prologue and do forgive me for not updating 'Closer to the Edge' for you. But this story has been hiding in my folder for a while. This new story is also very much AU and I do hope that this idea has been used up already. For it has just tell me and I'll delete it or even to make sure it is completely different. But then you are yet to find out what the plot is. I also do hope that you have enjoyed your short read.
