It has been a year since the Kanes defeated Set at Pheonix. Carter Kane suddenly appears at Camp Half-Blood, at the same time as Leo and Piper. A group of certain goddesses have taken all his memory. He only remembers Sadie, his sister. Carter has to prove his worth quickly in this group of campers. Or as Hera warns him, "The world will collapse entirely."

CARTER
Carter ran quickly, his satyr protector, Woody, in front of him. The Minotaur was still chasing them.
A few days earlier, Carter had been woken up by Woody, behind a Dumpster. Carter still didn't know how he had gotten there, or how Woody had found him there. Woody had explained to him that he was a son of some Greek god, and thus it gave him a specific 'smell' or 'aura'. But Woody himself did not know how Carter had lost all his memory. The only thing Carter knew from his past was Sadie, who he somehow knew was his sister.
Carter still did not understand where all his memory had been gone. He couldn't just wake up with no memory at all.
Just then the Minotaur leapt in front of them. Woody yelped. Carter didn't know how it had got there. He let his instincts take over. He thrust his hand in front of him.
His hand disappeared in an invisible hole. Woody yelped again. Trying hard not to lose concentration, Carter felt around the hole. He sensed a familiar thing and emitted a self - satisfied, "Ah!"
He pulled out his sword, an Egyptian khopesh. How he knew that he didn't know. But he had a monster to kill.
The Minotaur charged at him. Carter neatly sidestepped and brought down the sword expertly on the monster's neck. The minotaur roared, a terrible sound as he slowly disintegrated. Carter muttered, "From sand they come, to sand they go."
"Wh-what?" spoke Woody.
Carter suddenly looked up in the sky. A flying chariot, left wheel on fire was crashing.
