That night he took her to the beautiful hotel he had spoken about a few weeks ago. They haven't talked really much, making love fiercely to each other and savouring the reunion. He wanted to tell her how he really felt about her, those three words and how much he cared for her. But he couldn't. Those words, they never came out of his mouth. He could have loose her on the rooftop and it scared him to death. He tried to forget her, to give a try to Kali several times but it failed. It failed because he couldn't remove her from his mind.
He was lying on his side, his head resting on his good hand and was watching her beautiful sleepy face.
"Stop doing this." She said her eyes still closed.
"Doing what?" He asked innocent.
"Watching me sleeping." He smiled back and dropped a soft kiss on her lips. She let out a sight and finally opened her eyes.
"Good morning." He whispered.
"Hey." She whispered back.
They looked at each other for a while before she continued.
"I should go back to New York.." she paused. "And you…" she pointed him. "Should go back to work."
"Yeah we should." He said with a hint of deception in his voice. She heard that and saw it too in his eyes. He felt her hand on his right cheek and briefly closed his eyes at her touch.
"Amanda, you know I…" He tried.
"Yes, I know Carl."
"Love you." He said barely audibly.
She slightly smiled, she have waited so long to hear those words. She slipped her hand to the back of his neck and pushed his face towards hers, crashing her lips to his. They shared a passionate kiss before they stopped breathless.
"I love you, too." She murmured, her forehead against his.
