When I hunt, I let my senses take over. I'm no longer the human I pretend to be but the monster I am. A vampire. We'd left the day before, and even though being away from Bella, I left smiling. Carlisle, Emmett, Jasper, and I had gone out hunting, leaving the girls on their own, letting Alice have her way and invited Bella over for a 'sleepover.' I was really just worried she'd try to go and see those dogs again. Jasper looked over me, he could feel the sudden hatred and anger I was feeling 'What is he thinking about now?' his thoughts were as clear as could be to me, and I suddenly felt, relaxed and calm. Jasper and his emotion manipulation. Carlisle cleared his throat, we'd been just looking around, listening to figure out was out at the moment. Emmett, who was sitting on the dirt stood up stretching, and Jasper stood up straight, moving away from the tree he was leaning on. I'd already heard what Carlisle was going to say, but I listened anyways. "We'll meet back here at twilight today." he said.
It was currently 1 in the morning, we'd left around 9 the night before and despite the speed we went it still took a little over 3 hours to get where we wanted to be. The Olympia National Forest was having a lot of bear sightings, which is why we ended up here. So Emmett could have a little bit of fun with his food. I'd never noticed that the others had already left, wow I was out of it today. I let my senses take over, following the sound and scent of a mountain lion. I was surprised that there was one out at this time. I followed the scent, moving silently and quickly through the thick forest, barely missing the trees. Bella would be worried about hitting them, if she was here now. I let out a small chuckle. I could tell that I was getting closer, I could hear it's quiet breath even louder now and it didn't take long for me to ram the animal into a tree and diggin my fangs into it's neck.

We'd met up at twilight, just like we'd said and began to head back home. Carlisle drove, with Jasper in the passenger's seat, with Emmett and I in the back. Emmett's thoughts were racing with thoughts and memories of mauling a giant grizzly earlier, Jasper was off thinking about the two grizzlies he'd fed, and Carlisle's were off happy that he'd be seeing Emse. I leaned over, grabbing my cell out of the cup holder in the front of the car, catching Jasper's attention but he just ignored it. I leaned back, flipping the phone open and turning it on. I was surprised to see I had a missed call. No one normally called me when I was out. The only people who had my numbed was my family and when we were out hunting we never got calls. I pressed Listen to now, no need to put the phone up to my ear, I would be able to hear it clear as crystal as would everyone else.
"You are in trouble. Enormous trouble. Angry grizzly bears are going to look tame next to what is waiting for you at home." It was Bella. No wonder I was being called. The car was silent for a moment before Emmett's booming laugh viberated the car, followed by Carlisle's soft chuckles and Jasper's bass laugh. I couldn't help but laugh myself. Silly Bella.
