A/N: Written for both Femmslash Day (July 19) and a set of Final Fantasy 9 prompts. Warning for character pain and blood.

Shortly after sparring, they shuffle to the castle horse stables (or restroom) for an ounce of privacy. They pull their clothes off each other as heatedly as they had fought. Beatrix is gentle; her hands fall over Freya's body like flower petals and her kisses are as light and bouncy as her curls. Freya is the opposite-- she pulls her body to her and never lets go, to the point that her claws dig into that supple skin. If there are scratches or gashes (from sparring earlier), she nips and bites the wounds, drawing more blood.

Beatrix howls, prompting Freya's hand to cover her mouth. The Bermician bites her shoulder and she smirks at the words muffled against her palm. Beatrix hangs her head and takes the sting. She wants to pull away and yet lean into the other woman. She can't help but feel like she deserves it.
