Xander wasn't talking again and Willow didn't like it. Usually he was happy Xander, but today was a "broken Xander" kind of day and it was the 3rd one this month. She didn't like broken Xander. Both Xanders jumped when she moved quick, but broken Xander looked really scared like he was gonna cry. Something was definitely weird and Willow couldn't figure it out. Maybe his head was getting jostled, because he was always falling down stairs or running into doors and hurting himself. Yes, that was probably it. Now that she thought about it, broken Xander usually came around when he got hurt. This was definitely something to think about. Maybe she should ask Ms. Mason about it. She always knew about stuff like this, because she was super smart. That's why Willow wanted to be a teacher, so she could be super smart like Ms. Mason. It only made sense to ask her about broken Xander and if his brain had been jostled too hard. She didn't want him to shake his head too hard someday and stay broken forever. That would be horrible. But, when she told Ms. Mason, Ms. Mason told her that Xander wasn't broken at all and then she started to look all gray and asked Willow a bunch of questions about how often he was like this and if he ever had bruises. Willow thought it was weird, but answered anyhow, maybe she could stop Xander from breaking anymore. After that, Xander got to sleep over at Willow's house for two whole weeks. It was so much fun and he didn't seem broken even once and Willow didn't tell her mommy or daddy, but Xander wasn't just her friend anymore, he was her boyfriend. She figured they wouldn't like that. She figured that Ms. Mason had fixed Xander's clumsies after that, because he stopped coming to school with bruises anymore, but the only Willow couldn't understand was the day when she walked into the coatroom, when Xander was by himself and he was all huddled in the corner. And even though his purple splotches weren't there, she could tell that it was broken Xander.
