As Mirei stood watching the Gate close, after Taiga and his team-mates had returned to the real world, she realized she felt lonely. She unconsciously smiled, remembering that the Tamers had unintentionally taught her emotions.
Mirei recalled the knowing look in Yuuya's eyes before he went through and she felt her face heat up at the memory. Did he feel something for her, a digital being?
She wondered if she would ever see any of them again. Taiga promised he would keep in touch no matter what, so she surmised she would at least hear from him.
So Mirei waited.
