Morgaine speaks: she came to me last night and demanded the great marriage again. But the belief in the old ways is dwindling so fast that those who still believe turn to me. Am I ready to return to what I once was? Is it true and am I forgiven for my rash decision to turn away from my duties, my path, and my fate that awaits me in Avalon? I simply cannot believe such a thing is graced to me.

The air was pregnant with the promise of the light overcoming the dark completely. As the drums resounded the earth's heartbeat, Morgaine slowly covered her face with a veil and studied her hands, which were marked with henna. It had been years since she participated in the Beltane rites, carefully indulging to her brother's spouse and with that she utterly forsook her duty as her high priestess. But now things were different, no longer bound by the rigidness of the Camelot court, Morgaine had never been so far away from home. Home, is this home for me, she wondered?

Her life changed drastically when Arthur promised her hand into marriage with King Uriens and soon the court buzzed of rumours that it was the Queens doing. Morgaine forgave her the moment she laid her eyes on Accolon, and it was her own husband who noted the instant chemistry between them as well. But Morgaine loved her husband dearly and had not sought Accolon out, even though Uriens had insisted many times for her to take him as a lover.

But now, now she was called upon her duties once again and she could feel it in the earth, she could smell it in the air. She was still here. With a smile, Morgaine mingled in the crowd that danced around the wild fires. Before she realised it the rhythm of the feet swept her into a magical trance and she felt many hands upon her, which slowly transgressed into lips and sweet explorations of a mouth. One mouth: one lover for this night.

Hands were upon her breasts, then her legs, ankles, thighs and drunk from ecstasy Morgaine could only move into the touch of a man in which she was destined to perform this rite with this year. Her heart jumped when she recognised his voice when he started to strip away her clothes. "Finally the tides of spring are upon us and the sun shall dance, the water shall merge with fire and my maiden is made mother."

Almost breathlessly, Morgaine felt the cool breeze on her skin and hurriedly she tore away his loin cloth to answer him: "In the name of two and the One, we shall seek the mystery of unity and…."

"And so shall it be." Accolon answered and kissed her passionately. "For this night we shall belong to each other."

Morgaine speaks: And so it began, I truly found happiness again and steps to the road home were taken. For long I doubted the Goddess: the pain of giving birth to Gwydion, serving Gwenhwyfar who despised and loathed me. Loosing my true love to Elaine. Aye, we made love for the first time on Midsummer's eve a year ago and as of that day, I felt the connection again. The Sight slowly returned to me and it was Accolon who showed me the way again. Long I thought to deny it, long I thought I could forget it, but the fire still burns deep within me and I know I am still her servant, Morgaine of the elves, high priestess of Avalon.
