Note: I just couldn't get half asleep, mumbling Reid out of my head. :)
Derek Morgan looked down at a sleeping Spencer Reid. His head was resting softly on Derek's shoulder, a leg thrown haphazardly over his waist, and Spencer's hand was resting right above the slow beat of his heart. It was only then Derek realised why he had woken up. He really had to used the bathroom. He slowly tried removing Spencer from his side, only to have Spencer's arm move down to around his chest and grasp at his side, forcing Derek to remain in bed, "Don't leave," Spencer mumbled out. Derek wasn't even able to tell if his lover was still asleep or not.
"Baby," Derek whispered, placing a soft kiss into Spencer's hair, "I have to get up." Spencer mumbled into Derek's shoulder, but he was unable to figure out what he had said. "I'll be right back."
There were a few seconds before Spencer loosened his grip on Derek's side and removed his leg from Derek's waist, "Hurry up. It's cold." Derek chuckled, because it definitely wasn't cold outside.
When Derek came back from using the bathroom, Spencer had stolen his pillow and was hugging it tightly to him. Derek was a bit confused, sure his boyfriend was sometimes needy and adorable, but never like this.
"Spence?" he whispered as he crawled back into bed, taking the pillow and replacing it with his body.
Spencer returned to his former position, "Don't leave me. Don't ever leave me."
"I wasn't planning on it baby. What's wrong?"
Spencer groaned, "Just don't leave me again. You left me, and I was a wreck. I did terrible things."
Now Derek was really confused, "I've never left you, baby. And I never will."
"I know." Spencer didn't say much more, almost falling back asleep, but Derek really needed to know where this was coming from.
"Spence," Spencer groaned, obviously not wanting to talk any more, "Why do you think I'll leave you?"
Spencer hummed, trying to bring his mouth to form words, "Dream. Everyone's leaving me."
Derek pressed another kiss into his hair, thankful it was only a dream, even though it had seemed like it was a very real dream to his partner. "No one's leaving you."
Spencer made an agreeing noise in the back of his throat, already half asleep, "Love you," he managed to mumble almost silently.
"I love you," Derek softly replied, letting sleep over come him once again.
