So I heard this song in the middle of doing my maths homework, and began to think of an idea. This is set to the song 'Shattered' by Trading Yesterday :D (seriously obsessed with that song now) Anyway, this is basically Finnick flashing through his life as he dies...

The pain seared through my leg, setting it on fire as I screamed involuntarily. It couldn't last much longer, could it? Not now the hatch was closed. Everything seemed to slow down, as I remembered.

Yesterday I died; tomorrow's bleeding
Fall into your sunlight
The future's open wide beyond believing
To know why hope dies
And losing what was found, a world so hollow
Suspended in a compromise

I'm fourteen and going into the Hunger Games. They called my name and now I have to walk. Walk up those steps. I ignore the stares from the girl's section and paste on my best smile, trying to quell the queasiness in my stomach.

Then everything goes forward, and I'm holding her hand as she cries. I have to survive. I bring out my dagger, still with her hand grasped in mine, and I draw it across her throat. I nearly throw up as her hand goes limp, but I must survive. Instead I look up and give my best smile. The trident arrives the next day.

I win. That's what they all think. Snow calls me to his office that very same day to explain how the 'arrangement' will work. Suddenly, I realise that of all the twenty four tributes, I am the one who lost.

As reason clouds my eyes with splendor fading
