I read To Catch a Pirate in Middle school, and fell in love with it! I'm sorry, it's not an actual Pirates of the Caribbean fanfic, but it's pirates and the book isn't in fanfic (if someone could tell me how to upload a new book category, that'd be great!) So, anyway, while searching through old files, i found this. And i guess i decided to post it. This occurs at the end of Chapter 16 (i think, well that Chapter when Sterling spends the evening with Anna and they watch the stars together on his ship) but before that last seperated paragraph in Sterling's pov. And i guess what happened is in my story is...implied. anyway, hope you enjoy it! i loved this book, it was so adorable!

Anna felt a breeze. The normal breeze she felt every morning on a ship, except this one was a tad different, it felt as though the wind rubbed against her bare skin. She opened her eyes, with little memory, to look down at herself and realize she had nothing covering her but a thin blanket and an arm wrapped around her waist. To answer another one of her thoughts, she looked ahead and saw she was in the captain's cabin; it look the same last time she was here, but this time the floor wasn't bear, instead it was scattered with clothing which she recognized as she darted her eyes toward the blue dress she was wearing just last night.

Suddenly she felt warm air breathe against her ear and a warm chest against her back, so she turned slightly to see what had caused such a feeling that almost made her melt. Once she turned, her back flat on the bunk, she smiled gently to see James Sterling's handsome face. Breathing deeply, she pressed her palm against the side of his neck to give her the strength to pull her lips close enough to his to give a lovely, lingering touch of her lips. She seemed to have the magic touch as James's eyes fluttered open to reveal his glass green gaze that Anna so longed for.

She couldn't help but giggle as she said, "Good morning."

James leaned in to kiss her back and said the same: "Good morning, Anna."

Anna was thankful that she held her tongue before asking a stupid question about what had happened last night, because she knew very well what had happened: Anna released her love for James as he did for her, and she was glad that she enjoyed every minute of it. No longer guilty about loving him. She lifted her right hand so she could put hers in his and loved his warm touch.

Unfortunately, the moment was abruptly ruined when James pointed out, "We shouldn't be far from New Providence now."

Anna knew it was the truth but didn't want to believe it. However, she had no choice to believe it or not because once they were both dressed they heard a loud banging on the door. Perhaps caused by a rifle, Anna thought. And footsteps caused by heavy boots. They then heard a British Navy's voice commanding them to open the door. Anna studied James's eyes; he could see all the fear absorbed in hers. Anna and James both knew it was the end for them together, so they flew into each other's arms trying hard not to ever let go and kissed their last kiss. During their last seconds, Anna had forgotten all about her worries: of what Nathaniel would think, what would her father say, and that James was a pirate; she tried to enjoy these last seconds just before the door burst open.
