Cole lay on the leather couch his shirt stained with all sorts of fast food. He had bags under his eyes and his hair was messy. The phone rang loudly aggrivating him. Cole shuffled over to the phone almost tripping over the mess on the floor.
"Hey Cole...um... me and Jay are going to pick up our things" Stated kai in a wavering tone. Cole grumbled something.
"Do you wanna come with us to the bounty?"Asked Kai.
"I'll come"Cole awnsered in a mono-tone as he put down the phone . Smoothing down his jett black hair and taking a mint gum he searched for his clunky keys . After finding them Cole put on his thick coat and hurried out the narrow door. He ambled down the gritty pavement as the rain poured down harder. His grey eyes glistening under his hood. After some time he got to the bounty with the slippery ladder hanging down.
His black bangs got into his eyes as he clambered up the laddder with a uneasy grip. Standing atop the bounty his black boots thuded heavily on the oak floor.
Kai and Jay weakily waved in greeting but Cole ignored them and started walking away into their old room.
"Well some one's in a bad mood"muttered Jay crossing his arms infront of his chest. Cole stopped, clenching his fists.
"In a bad mood?...In a BAD mood!?"Yelled Cole as he walked straight towards Jay looming over him.
"z-zane is g-gone ...I dont think being in a bad mood covers how I feel"He quavered as he started to calm down. Taking deep breaths he tried to stay emoitionless.
Drooping his head down Jay remained unusually silent and avoided eye contact with Cole. Huffing Cole paced into their empty room and quickly locked the door.
"Hey Cole I need to get my stuff so open the door"Kai ordered as he banged on the door. Cole grunted and colapsed on Zane's old bed.
"Maybe not"echoed Kai as he went away to say his good bye's to Sensei Wu.
Running his fingers through his silky hair , Cole closed his eyes to stop the tears.
"Its all my fault...It shoud've been me "whimpered Cole. Shakily he got up from the creased bed and headed towards the large wooden closet. A single white gi hung on the metalic hook. Uneasily he touched the white gi and ran his hand down its side. The smooth material gently laying on his palm. Slowly he slid it of the hook and put it on taking every care to be as gentle as possible. Memories flooded into his head. Memories of Zane.
