before I realized what I'd almost done.
I almost left you when we wed,
before I said the words "I do".
I almost left when the home became hell,
before I stopped and went back to you.
I almost said I love you,
this time I didn't hold back.

when I realized I already had.

especially after a fight.
I almost wanted to kiss you,
so we'd kiss each other goodnight.

When we met we were enemies, destined for us to hate. I almost told you I loved you, when I realized that our love was our true fate.
I almost loved you, and I knew it was okay. I almost let you say goodbye, but I have stayed with you since that day.
