Amy sighed, letting the wind whip her cherry red dress around. She breathed in the salty air and looked down the cliff at the tumbling river and spiky rocks. The cliff was tall, and deadly. One jump would kill you. If you didn't fall, you'd start an avalanche and that would surely kill you. She glanced down at the picture in her hand. A blue hedgehog smiled back at her.
"I love you, Sonic," she let a single tear fall on the paper. Then, she jumped. As she fell she heard someone yell.
"Amy!" it sounded uncannily like Sonic, and a blur of blue accompanied it.
About a foot from the rocks she froze in air. Sonic had caught her. He brought her gently down and hugged her tightly.
"Amy Rose, don't you ever scare me like that again," he scolded, then added, "I love you."
"I won't Sonic, I love you too," Amy closed her eyes, feeling safe and secure knowing that at least ONE person loved her, and it was the person she loved most.
