Sophie Webster - Honesty
Part One
Sophie was silent and her girlfriend Maddie could tell that she was troubled by something,
"Babe what's going on?" Maddie asks as they stop in their tracks as Sophie looked to the floor making Maddie frown,
"Nothing Maddie I got to go I'm late as it is see you later yeah!" Sophie presses her lips against Maddie's cheek before hurrying over to the shop. Sophie knew that she would have to tell Maddie the truth but she really would rather not as all hell would break if she knew! Sophie sighs troubled by her predicament that she didn't notice Tim enter the shop,
"Alright Sophie? You look far away there love!" Sophie shock her head,
"Tim can I ask you something?"
"Yeah?"
"Does it bother you that my dad is close with my mum given their past?" Tim shrugged his shoulders and laughed the question off,
"Why would it love we all have a past Sophie! Why is one of Maddie's exes shown up or something?" Sophie sighs shaking her head as she pulls out the crumpled letter from her jeans pocket,
"Uh remember I can't read love"
"Sorry I forgot. Basically it's from sian my ex fiancé...she was first love and it was special but with Maddie it's a different love you know"
"You haven't told her then?"
"No. I honestly didn't think about it until now...she wants to meet up"
"Then if I was you I'd speak to Maddie and fast love!"
"Thanks Tim"
"No worries love anytime!" Tim heads out the shop as Sophie texts Maddie asking her to meet her for lunch at theirs when seconds later she gets a reply,
"Yes" the text reads making Sophie's stomach flutter uneasily as she tries to concentrate on her work.
Sophie was sat at the table waiting for Maddie her nerves getting the better of her as she re reads the letter her hands trembling,
"Hey wow! You do all this?!"
"Yeah well I know I'm mardy lately and I wanted to do something nice for a change" Maddie kisses Sophie before sitting herself beside her and tucking into her food,
"So you uh actually going to tell me then?"
"What?"
"What's been bothering you?" Sophie puts her fork down and exhales slowly her eyes beginning to water slightly,
"I had a letter from someone special the other day..."
"What like a relative or something?"
"Not a relative no a ex of mine" Maddie nods her head slowly waiting for her girlfriend more her heart racing inside her chest,
"Sian wants to meet up with me..."
"Sian? Pretty name bet she's gorgeous and look at me how the hell am I going to compete?!" Sophie rolls her eyes sighing as she takes Maddie's hand into her own,
"Maddie I am in love with you. What we have is real and honest and I would never ever want to lose you!" Maddie gives a half smile over at Sophie feeling slightly reassured as her insecurities niggles away inside her head,
"So are you going to meet up with this sian or what?"
"Honestly I really don't think I can...see when she left me it really broke me up for awhile and I don't want to back to that place!" Maddie pulls Sophie into her and holds her gently in her arms lightly kissing her forehead,
"What's this for?"
"Because I love you Sophie and I will never cause you that sort of pain I promise!"
"I love you too Maddie!" Sophie lightly presses her lips onto Maddie's as she felt a calmness overcome her as she should have known how well Maddie would of taking it all as Maddie was many things and one was understanding that's why Sophie loves Maddie and will be with her forever!
