Gru trudged along the soggy pavement on the way to his house,it was pitch black and he Lucy was still at work. Gru opened his door and flopped on the sofa.

Lucy sat in her office typing about Gru's last mission. The rain smacked onto the window and Lucy got distracted by the noise. Silas came in and asked weather she was done. "Yup. Can I go home now?" Silas nodded. Lucy put on her rain coat and walked into the parking lot. She was half way down the road when her car ran out of fuel. "Oh spy!" she muttered resting her head on the steering wheel sighing. Three figures emerged from the shadows, one huge,one middle sized and one tiny. Lucy recognized the huge figure...El macho! She gasped and shook violently. El macho's eagle eye recognized Lucy in an instant. Lucy opened the car door and tried to make a run for it. But El macho grabbed her tight. Lucy wriggled and screamed but the middle sized figure covered her mouth. Suddenly she saw black...

Gru peered at his clock: 3:00 am it read. Gru shook,where was Lucy? He tried calling her but she wasn't answering. Gru felt like crying. "I am NOT going to cry!" screamed his brain "Rescue Lucy!"

Lucy woke up her head spinning,she felt nauseous and faint. She looked in a small cracked mirror and gasped. Black streaks were implanted in her hair,black eyeliner was lined on her eyes,her skin was pale white. She looked down at her body,her dress was ripped,her funky scarf was lying ripped to shreds at her feet. The figures emerged out of the shadows once more. She knew of course that the big one was El macho,but the other two she couldn't make out at all. "So we meet again little one!" It was El macho. Lucy hated being called that,she wasn't small at all for goodness sake! "I am not small I am twenty three!" snapped Lucy. El macho and the two other figures just laughed at her. Lucy's eyes filled with tears,she hung head. El macho gently lifted her chin as if he was about to kiss her. "Listen to me my little sugarplum fairy,you had better stop this blubbering at once! Otherwise I shall tie you to that rocket again!" he hissed spitting with rage. Lucy shuddered at the thought of being tied to that rocket again. El macho cackled and jested to the figures as he tied Lucy to a chair. "Contact Gru." he hissed so Lucy couldn't hear him.

Gru stomped around his living room waiting for maybe Lucy or her captor to contact him. "Daddy?" asked Agnes "can I watch inside out?" Gru nodded "Errrrrr... you can after I TV message someone,you go and play,maybe you could dress up as joy or disgust for the film you like them." Agnes nodded and dashed upstairs. Gru shut the double oak doors and did a pantomime phew. Suddenly the TV came on to El macho's face. Gru gasped "El macho?" El macho sniggerd "Surprised to see me?" Gru was very surprised but he tried to hide it.

"N...No not at all."

"I know you are Gru so don't play that one on me!" Gru heard Lucy scream his name."Be quiet sweetie!" said El macho trying to sound sweet,but instead sounded gruffer than ever.

"Let her go! What do you villains have against her?!"

"Oh nothing." his voice lowered into a whisper "But you will soon have." the screen cut off. Gru was confused what dose he mean by:but you will soon have?
