Victor and Victoria have been engaged for a week, ever since Emily had departed.

Victor was sitting on an armchair next to the window of the Everglot's home with Victoria perched on the sofa next to him. She was sewing a new curtain, for whichever reason that Victor didn't know of. She was so absorbed into her work that Victor didn't think she even noticed he was there anymore. He coughed and decided to break the silence.

"Um… Victoria?" He asked nervously.

Victoria flinched at the sudden words and finally sprang back into reality.

"Oh erm, yes dear?" She replied.

"I'm going to be out tomorrow, to go um… shopping. Yes, um... Shopping!" He lied. What he really was going to do was visit his parent's house, seeking for advice for marriage.

At first Victoria looked sort of puzzled because of Victor's quick words, but then shrugged it off realizing how clumsy he really was. "Um.. of course dear, I'll watch over the house then."

After minutes of silence passed by, Victor decided to pick up the weekly newspaper. When he was interested in a story about an old mansion in the country that had recently burned to flames, he recoiled at a sudden "Ouch!" coming from Victoria. He scrambled to her side fearful that she had badly injured herself.

But she only laughed and pressed the tip of her finger to her mouth.

"Victoria, are you alright?" Victor asked.

"Oh Victor, I'm fine. I merely pricked my finger with the needle. You can be such a worrywart sometimes." She gently kissed his pale cheek and went back to work.

Victor sighed with relief and leaned on the side of the couch. "Thank goodness you're alright." He whispered.
