Derek looks out the window to see his older "sister" (he was adopted) leaving. A whole 13 years since he split himself into a bazillion different versions of himself and spread them throughout the multidimensional space. He went to his bed and put on the Nerve-gear. Seeing the time he started it up and exclaimed "Link Start!"

In seconds he was in the game Sword Art Online, and went off to train and level up. A few hours later, after hearing Kyaba's proclamation, he went off to train hard so he could find his brother and get out of there.

Along the way, he bumped into a guy and fell down on his but. "Hey man, you OK?" the man asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, just heading out to level up."

"Well, do you know where you're going?"

'Yeah I'm not a newbie like you are,' Derek thought, 'But I can't tell him I'm a Beta Tester. Beta Testers have a bad rep here.' "Yeah, first time. You know where any good places are?" 'Deja Vu. I think this sort of thing happens later on (Derek doesn't remember the anime version of SAO, except for a few things here and there, and the fact that he once saw it as an anime.)'

"Not really, but I do have an idea on where to start. I'm Klein, by the way."

"The name's DC. I came here with my brother, but I don't want to see him until I get a high enough level."

"Well, I was just about to gather my friends for some training. You can join us if you want."

"Sure, I've got no one else to help me." 'OK this is getting ridiculous! I need to hurry up and get my level-wait a second,' Derek thought as he actually took a look at his level, 'Seems this place is full of surprises. My level has been reduced, but only by half. I'm at level 16.'

"You alright?"

"Yeah, just checking what level I'm at. I forgot that I did some training earlier. But I'll still come along. I need to get at least one friend if I'm going to survive as a solo player."

"Wait you're thinking of playing solo?"

"For some of the game, yeah. I might join someone later on." Derek walked away to avoid any further talking, which Klein had picked up on. Klein tried to introduce him to his friends, but Derek kept avoiding their gaze.

When they got to the field Kirito showed Klein, Derek got ahead of the group, and called a bunch of the boars to attack him. Klein noticed what Derek was doing and shouted at him "Are you nuts. If you die here, you die for real, remember!?"

"Than I won't die!" Derek growled as he ran towards the boars, gripping the sword that was at his side. When he was close enough, he slashed through all of them, with multiple slash marks appearing on the poor animals, before they disintegrated.

"Wha-what was that!?" one of the friends shouted.

"He slashed through those boars like it was nothing!" another one exclaimed.

"He was like a beast… yeah, that could be your nickname! The Beast!" Klein told him. Derek let out a chuckle and thought for a minute.

"Yeah that would be cool. Well I gotta get going. I have to try and find the next town, if I'm going to have any luck of finding my brother." Derek was about to walk off, until a window popped up asking of a friend request.

"Tell me when you find him, alright?" Klein explained.

"Will do," Derek told him, pressing the green check mark. He then walked off into the next town.

Derek was on the 47th floor eating some lunch, when he overheard some guys talking about a beast tamer. (By this time Derek has the hood I drew and use as my fanfic avatar.)

"Looks like Beast Tamer Silica is trying to seduce everyone that walks by her and the plants," one guy told his buddy.

"I heard she's rejecting every guild that asks her to join," the friend replied, "says she's waiting to travel with the black swordsman again."

"How would she even know him?" At this point, Derek left to go talk to the Beast Tamer.

When he got onto the path, he instantly laughed at the girl being hung upside down. "IT'S NOT FUNNY! NOW HURRY UP AND GET ME DOWN!" she yelled at him. He made a quick dash slash, and cut down the plant, with Silica falling flat on her butt. "You could've at least tried to catch me you know!"

"You wanted me to help you and I did. So, you the one everyone calls Beast Tamer Silica, huh?"

"What's it to you?"

"I'm DC, it's nice to meet you."

"DC… you're the one they call the Beast? You look like a normal scranny kid to me."

"Brat!"

"Jerk!" As they glared at each other, they didn't notice they were being watched.

We cut to see them walking on the path talking. "When I asked why he helped me, he told me that I looked like his little sister," Silica told him, remembering her first encounter with Kirito. Derek started bursting out laughing like crazy. "What's so funny!" Silica exclaimed.

"You look nothing like his little sister. And Sugs was way better at sword play than you."

"How would you know!? It's not like you lived with them or anything!"

"No, but they were my friends. Sugs always helped me train in kendo. She told me that I was going to be a great swordsman."

"She sounds like she's your older sister. But I agree, you really are a great swordsman."

"We'll see about that," a voice from behind told them. They looked behind themselves and saw 20 Laughing Coffin members.

"What do you guys want with little kids?" DC asked.

"Heathcliff payed us some good money to kill the Beast. And that's just what we'll do," the leader, PoH told him.

"Great… Wait, did you just say Heathcliff, as in the leader of the Knights of the Blood Oath?!"

"Nuf talking, get him!" PoH exclaimed having everyone charge at DC. Derek put a hand to the hilt of his sword.

"Man, and I was really starting to like this sword," he whined. He then pulled out his sword in a slicing motion, and sent a blast of energy towards the Laughing Coffin members sending them into the garden with 0.0001 HP each.

"THIS GUY'S NO BEAST! HE'S A MONSTER!" they exclaimed. They then grabbed their Teleport crystals and teleported to their base, while seeing DC's sword burst into data.

"What was that? And why did your sword burst into data like that?" Silica asked.

"It's a long story, but I am going to need your help with something important."

"Something… important?"

*Insert Ending Song*
