A/N: I thought this would be an interesting idea. If you don't like it let me know, but if you want to see more, again let me know =)
I wanted her blood. I could feel the heartbeat as I held the little one in my hands.
"Jacob says she looks like you." Renesmee said and I looked at her. I grimaced as I saw Jacob's arm around her shoulders. I nodded.
"Edward." I stated through gritted teeth. "Take her." I felt Edward's hands on mine as he took the baby from me. I walked away and looked out the window of the house.
"Rose." Renesmee cooed. I smiled. I remember her childhood very well. It was such a short time that she was an infant. Immediately, I felt a hand on my arm. Edward kissed the side of my head. Then he moved the hair away from my ear.
"Are you alright?" He whispered. I choked and then shook my head.
"I'm fine."
"Bella," he turned me around gently to look into my eyes, "are you sure?" I shook my head again. Renesmee walked over.
"Mom?" She asked. I looked at her. "I want to talk to you." We walked over to the couch. "I know you are having difficulty with Rose and Jacob." I shook my head.
"No." Renesmee put her hand on mine and I could feel the heat from her body. It almost burnt my hand. She looked into my eyes.
"It's not a secret that you were not excited with Jacob, but he loves me." She paused. "I love him too. I never wanted to hurt you or dad. Aunt Rose, Aunt Alice, Uncle Jasper, Uncle Emmett, Grandma and Grandpa Carlisle mean everything to me." I was quiet as she spoke. "I will always be part vampire." I took a deep breath.
"I love you and I love Jacob. We used to be close friends."
"But I didn't choose a vampire mate. My child is more human than even I am. She'll grow up in the human world where I know you can't go see Charlie and Renee. But Jacob and I want her to know them." I nodded. Renesmee was right. It had been ten years. I couldn't go see my parents without them asking questions.
"Renesmee, I love your grandparents. I'm grateful for everything Charlie did. I don't want to keep Rose from him." I smelled Jacob before I saw him. I looked up and noticed he was holding Rose. I chuckled. I was a grandmother at 18 years old. But I'd be that age for the rest of time. I felt some comfort in knowing Renesmee would never have to die, but Rose and Jacob would. I wanted to feel the blood of that child in my mouth. I felt an arm grab a hold of me.
"Let's hunt." I heard a delicate voice say. I didn't have to look over at her to know it was Alice.
"What?" Alice looked at me.
"We need to hunt. You cannot kill Rose."
"How did you-" Alice stood there with her arms crossed. I sighed. "I forgot."
"Have you told Edward you want to kill your granddaughter?"
"I don't understand. I've been a vampire for ten years. Won't that feeling go away?" Alice laughed.
"I've been a vampire a lot longer than that and I still have those feelings in my chest when I haven't hunted." We left for the woods. "As a newborn, you cannot control your thirst; that's why they attack humans no matter what. We can still feel the pain and the desire for that blood, but we have more control over it." Alice looked at me. "This isn't just about Rose is it?" I shook my head.
"When I see him with her, I get angry. I don't know why Jacob had to choose her." Alice chuckled. "What?" I asked oblivious to the humor she found in my frustration. She didn't respond at first. Heading back after the hunt, Alice looked over at me.
"When you and Jacob first became friends, Edward asked the same question about you." Then she rushed off to the house and I ran to catch up with her.
