Ginny's Turn
Chapter 1
Harry entered the Gryffindor common room on a late October evening. He was cold, wet and in a very bad mood. He had just finished a Quidditch practice. He scowled at a bunch of chattering first years and slouched over to an armchair near the fire where his two best friends, Ron and Hermione were doing their homework. As he sat down, Ron noticed that he had an angry flush on his cheeks and was looking extremely edgy.
"What's up?" he asked. Harry didn't answer. Hermione leaned forward and said softly, "Harry, if there's anything wrong, you can tell us." He was still quiet. "C'mon Harry", Ron said impatiently. At this Harry lost his patience. He stood up so quickly that Ron winced and Herm twitched, and practically shouted, "Well if you need to know so badly then here it is"- he paused for a breath of air, then hissed at them-"Cho dumped me". At that he strode up the boys staircase without another word.
Ron gaped after him and Hermione shrugged. There was a very uncomfortable silence. But they soon resumed their homework.
The next morning he was in a better mood, but during breakfast he kept on throwing dirty looks at the Ravenclaw table. Everyone in Gryffindor seemed to be paired off except him (and Neville), even Ron and Herm seemed to be excluding him a bit. So, instead he went to go talk to Ginny.
He and Ginny had a steady relationship as friends, and occasionally spoke together. Even though she was in fifth year she helped Harry with his homework sometimes, (when he wasn't forcing Hermione to) for she was very bright.
But their relationship was very different after that night.
