Title: The Change

"At least they know what family is Nik," she defends the Salvatores and he instantly understands what she meant. His features dropped into a detatched, troubled mask that he always seemed to have around her. "You and I know what family is Rebekah," she felt distinct anger. "Bullshit Nik!" she screamed, her hand instinctively aiming at his face, but he caught her hand and stopped her ministrations.
"You've killed all of your brothers and me twice or so in this life!" she hissed. "You don't know a goddamn thing about what family even is. You bastard," she shoves him away forcefully. She stared at him with blank eyes, her face twisting with the whirlwind of emotions she was feeling. Klaus grabbed hold of her biceps, physically locking her into her place. "Come on Rebekah," his features melted into something that Rebekah only noticed when her and him were alone. She stuck her jaw out stubbornly and tried to bore her eyes on something else in the empty room.
"We've always been there for each other. Don't do this now," he begged. She stares at him resolutely. "You're the worst monster of them all Nik. How am I suppose to forgive you for lying, killing our own mother and blaming it on Mikael!" she cried. He suddenly backed away staggeringly. It was as if he felt her gust of strong emotions and the force of them almost knocked him off of his feet.
"Why Nik!" she punched him squarely in the jaw. And he let her. He let her take out all of her emotions till he felt a smudge or irritation for it. He stopped her once again and stared at her with fierce eyes. "We're all each other have now! Like always Bex! So why not get over it, like you usually do and just put up with me," her eyes water unconsciously. "No!" she screams, yanking herself away. "I'm not doing this with you anymore Nik. I'm not the little Bex you still think I am. You believe I'm still your poor little sister that needs your protection from the world. But I'm a vampire Nik! I have been just as long as you. So I'm leaving now. Without you, like you've done so many times to me before," she seethed out through her clenched teeth.
"No Rebekah!" he grounded out forcefully like he was talking to a naughty child. "I love you Nik. You're my brother, I have no choice but to!" she stared off, heaving in between every word. "But you! You don't even know how to love!" she yanked herself away.
That was when Nik and Bex: always and forever ended.
