Disclaimer: I do, I do, I do, NOT own the Teen Titans. :-(
It really started as an ordinary Saturday in Titan Tower. Or so I thought. I thought, as usual, that I was the first to get out of bed. Nothing was more wrong. I heard silent laughter in the common room, which was unusual at the time of 7 am. Normally the guys got up around 10 am. More unusual was the person the laughter belonged to. I entered the common room and saw world's lamest joke-teller sitting in the couch watching a movie.
"Morning, Raven. You slept well?" he asked over his shoulder.
"Beast Boy? You're up early." I said, walking over to the sink to get water for my tea.
"Yeah, I had to see this movie." he said.
I looked over my shoulder to see what movie it was. It was an old one, from years before he, or me, or even any other of us was born. Something about a real life private detective and a cartoon bunny.
"Why would you watch this old, and can I say, lame movie?" I asked, giving my 'evil smile".
I heard him sigh and I could swear that I saw his eyes sadden. "It's the last movie I saw with my parents before they..." he said calmly, but I could hear the crushing sadness in his voice.
I slapped my hand before my mouth. "BB, I...I...didn't..." I stuttered, hoping he didn't hate me.
Much to my surprise, and relief, he looked over his shoulder and smiled. "Don't sweat about it, Rae." he said.
I sighed relieved and turned my attention back to my tea. From the corner of my eye I saw a bit of the move and I realized that I had never seen the movie before. My heart, and Affection and Happy said to ask him of I could watch the movie. But Stubborn stood its ground and said DON'T! Before I could decide, Beast Boy ended my dilemma.
"Hey Rae, I know you find this movie 'lame', but do you want to watch it with me?" He asked, little stars in his eyes.
I felt my mouth changing into a tiny smile. "Gladly." I said, walking over to the couch with my tea in my hand.
I took a seat next to Beast Boy. He told me about what the movie was about and what already happened in the movie. The movie was surprisingly laughable, even for such an old movie. After half an hour, Beast Boy was watching so concentrated at the move, that he, or I for that matter, didn't notice that he had put his arm around my shoulder. Subconsciously, I moved a bit closer to him, leaning my head against his shoulder. A few minutes later I noticed what I had done and I felt my cheeks going red. Much to my relief, he hadn't noticed anything. I wanted to sit up and take his hand of my shoulder, but... I didn't. It felt to...good. So I stopped thinking about it and kept watching the movie. This was the start of our occational movie mornings.
