A/N - OK, so I heard this song and immediately thought of Brucas. I have been weirdly Brucas obsessed lately, more so than usual. I'm not really sure why. I think it may be because now that Chad & Hil are gone, there is absolutely no chance of a Brucas reunion… which, I think deep down I was still secretly wishing for one, even though I knew it would never happen. Anyway, now I'm rambling… I tend to do that. So, I literally popped this out in like 10 minutes so it probably sucks but I hope you like it.

I walked down to the park last night
Warm breeze stirring up a soft moonlight
And my mind started drifting to way back when

A warm breeze hits me as I step onto the River Court and stare down at the asphalt. Although Peyton's declaration of love to Lucas is starting to fade, I can still see it. But that's not what I'm thinking about right now. Right now I'm remembering a time when this was Lucas' world and I was the biggest part of it, at least for a little while.
The other day I saw a car like you used to drive
I got a funny feeling down deep inside
And for the briefest moment I felt a smile begin

I was opening up the store the other day and I saw a red mustang stopped at a stoplight. It was exactly like Luke's. I couldn't stop the nostalgic smile on my face. He loved that car so much. It was just one more link he had to Keith and we had some pretty amazing times in that car.

I love Julian. I love the life we've built together and I wouldn't give it up for anything but so much of my past is wrapped up in Lucas.

A simple song can suddenly transport me back to high school and sometimes it's nice to get lost in the memories. Sometimes I wish the wouldn't end just so I can have a few more minutes with my memories of him.

What I have with Julian is real and it's true and it's forever. But what I had with him was real too and the love I feel for Julian, it doesn't negate what I once felt for Lucas.

Sometimes I feel guilty after I have one of "Lucas moments" as I call them. Julian, he wouldn't understand. Hell, sometimes I don't even really understand where they come from. Especially when I start to wonder about what could have been. I can picture what our life would have been like so easily. I have no doubt that Julian is the person I'm supposed to spend my life with, but I think everyone has that one person in their life that they wonder what if about and I guess for me that person is Lucas Scott.
