General Disclaimer: I'm not JKR, so I don't own Harry Potter.
Hermione sat alone in the Common Room, her hand poised above a parchment to write something.
To write anything, if she could.
She had a long essay due for tomorrow, but she couldn't write it…
Her mind kept drifting back to Ron.
She shook her head.
He had Lavender. He had chose Lavender instead of her.
And he was happy with Lavender, and she couldn't do a thing about it.
Why didn't he notice her?
What did Lavender have that she didn't?
Lavender was a brainless dingbat whose idea of fun was snogging Ron in a closet.
Hermione shook her head and tried to write.
Amortentia is a love potion that is very strong...so strong it will make Ron fall in love with me…
Hermione crumpled the paper out of frustration.
Ron and Lavender entered the Common Room holding hands while Lavender was giggling insanely.
She fought the urge to cry.
Lavender went up the stairs to girls' dorms, but Ron stayed in the Common Room.
She pretended to be immersed in writing, but the words she wrote down were meaningless.
She looked down to read what she wrote, and saw
Sometimes when the sky is blue, it reminds me of Ron's eyes.
She let out a scream of frustration.
Ron sat next to Hermione, asking, "Are you okay? You haven't been yourself lately."
"I'm fine," Hermione snapped.
"No, you're not. This isn't like you," Ron said.
"I'm fine," Hermione insisted once again.
"Hermione," Ron said, "I've known you since we were 11 years old. I think I'd know if something was wrong or not."
"I-I'm fine," Hermione said, turning away from Ron.
"You can tell me, I won't tell anyone, I promise," Ron said softly, putting his hand on hers.
Hermione looked into his big blue eyes, looked at his hand on top of hers, and managed to get out, "I-I've been wanting you m-more than ever…"
And with that, both leaned in and shared a kiss.
Reviews would be nice.
