"Ranma," Akane called out in syrupy sweet tones, which made Ranma shiver in fear. "Have you seen P-Chan?"
"Nope," he called back to her without even looking around.
"I think he escaped again," Akane said, "Could you look around for him?"
"Sure thing," Ranma called back.
It had started about a week ago, when Akari, Ryouga's girlfriend, came over for a visit. She and Akane had been getting along very well, and started going out together, on date that they call "Girls Night Out." It wasn't just Akane and Akari though. It was also Shampoo, Ukyo, and Kodachi. Akane had said something about introducing her gently into the group.
Anyway one evening Akane comes home very angry, carrying an unconscious P-Chan by his tail. Immediately she stuffed him into a carrying cage that Nabiki had gotten her yesterday, and locked the door on it, shoving the key into her blouse.
The she turned on him. "RANMA! You knew and you didn't tell me!?!" Her battle aura was the biggest and brightest he had ever seen directed at him.
He immediately assumed the form of the crouching tiger and started apologizing profusely. He could feel the aura heating the back of his neck. 'So this is how I'm going to die,' he thought idly.
He got a severe beating and a warning to never do it again. It wasn't until the next day that he had figured out why she was angry with him, and when he did he couldn't really blame her for the beating.
She found out about Ryouga.
For the last week or so Akane had been practicing her cooking, and using her pet as a guinea pig for each recipe. Ranma still had to eat her food too, but P-Chan had to eat the first three or so practice meals she made before she deemed it fit for human consumption. Her cooking improved dramatically, but no one deserves that kind of treatment. 'Well maybe Ryouga does.'
