Title: I'm fine, really?

Character: Zero and Shizuka

The more her fangs pierced his young neck. The more he wanted to die right beside her. The pure blood princess became his everything. She consume everything about him. His mind, his body, his life. Even his time belong to her.

One night. A single night is what it took to get him away from her. All his long-lost friends came together to get him alone. To give him a little breather to clear his mind.

Time will change things but one can not change time it self. With a clear mind Zero started to notice these changes. At first they were small. Something that could easy be over looked. Her strange behavior of kicking him to the corner like a broken toy. Was taking its toll on the teen. How he was willing to try anything to be Lady Shizuka favorite again.

That wasn't the Zero he wanted people to see. He wanted them to remember him as a proud member of the Kiryu hunter clan. Not a pure blood play thing. Now it was safe to let himself say. He was ready to let her leave. He was ready to leave her side.

One day at time is how Zero lived now. Each day that pass he live it up a little more with out her there controlling everything. Everyday that passes Zero see himself in better light then the day before. At first he wanted to run back to her but he couldn't let himself go there.

However it seem things worked out somewhat differently. A good change as things started to worked out for the better.

Zero still find himself looking back on the day he watch her drive away. He still can not believe what he tells everyone now when they ask. "I'm fine without her." And yet Zero fall back on an old habit when no one was looking. Calling up his once princess just to hear her voice.

"Zero why are you calling me after all these months, love?"

"Just wanted to hear you voice."

"I see. Well things are going a lot better now. I had a lot of time to reflect on us. We had to grow up some to face the facts." Zero thought his heart would shatter by now. "We were never meant to be together you and I." But he felt fine in hearing those words. As everything turned out alright in the end.
