True Friend. I wrote this poem for my best friend to show how much I care about our friendship. Even with everything me and her have gone through we have still stayed by each other's side. Even though I don't live in the same state as her anymore we are still best friends. She is like a sister to me. The meaning behind the title of this poem is Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana's song 'True Friend'. When myself and my best friend heard this song it automatically became the song to our friendship. Enjoy.

As I look off into the distance
I see what our friendship has gone though
All the tough times
And all the happy times.
And I can't help but think to myself
What a lucky person I must be
To have such a caring true friend.
Who listens to my issues
Who doesn't judge me
Or put me down
Even when I do something wrong.
So now I do see
That all I need to have happiness
Is just to have someone like you
So for that I'm thankful we met.
