Disclaimer: I do not own Wizards of Waverly Place. No profit is being made from writing this fictional story.
Author's Note: What if Stevie was successful at getting the Wizards Revolution started? How would the Wizarding world be different then? And what about the Russos and the rest of world?
I got a bit of a writer's block from my other story and I thought that maybe working on a second story might help me get my mojo back.
Please read and review.
Enjoy!
Inches from Reality

Alex slowly bent to reach for her wand.
"Hold it," Stevie said with a wide grin. She turned to Alex. "I almost forgot—"
She quickly drew her wand at Alex. With a quick wave, a strong gush of wind shot through it, pushing Alex back and onto a wall.
Stevie smiled wickedly at her. "I almost forgot that you're just like me: a bit of a liar!"
With a snap of her fingers, dozens of young wizards flashed into the room. Alex pushed herself off of the floor and drew her own wand, while Justin instinctively pulled Harper behind him and drew his wand at the ready. Max merely stood in a frozen panic.
"Oh Alex, Alex," Stevie taunted. "You really should've taken my offer. Now you don't get to join in on the fun."
With an aggressive swing of her wand, bolts of lightning shot out and surged through the multiple mechanisms in the room. The other young wizards followed until the entire room brightened dangerously from the sparks of the exploding equipments.
"No!" Alex screamed. She pointed her wand at the Power Reactor and attempted to form a shield to surround it, but suddenly felt her hand twist abnormally to the side. She screamed in pain.
"Nuh-uh. You don't get to mess this up for me." Stevie yelled over the commotion. She took Alex's wand, and snapped it over her knee. "Bring the others to me!"
A tall wizard grabbed Max by the arms and escorted him as thus. He took his wand and shoved him onto the floor. A pair of wizards escorted Justin and Harper, and led them to Alex's side.
"Now," Stevie started as the other wizards whooped and hollered while now working on disassembling the reactor. "To make sure that you," she glared at Alex, "don't start any trouble, I'm going to need a hostage. Should I take the bimbo, younger brother—"
"Hey!" Max replied.
"—or the arrogant, older one?" She eyed them both curiously, first meeting Max's offended expression, then Justin's determined glare. Stevie's smile slowly grew as her eyes landed on her target. "Huh. I know—"
With a flick of her wrist, a bright flash blinded all of them and transported them back into the lair. Alex breathed heavily as hot tears threatened to escape the corner of her eyes.
"Oh, God," Justin pleaded. "Oh, God!"
Both Alex and Max turned towards him.
"Harper," he whispered. "Where's Harper?"
