I keep having this same dream…

A man dressed in a black hooded cloak…tells me I'm the dual key blade wielder…a Princess even

And the path I choose will either lead to salvation or…

The destruction of the worlds.

"It's your destiny," he says...

Destiny can be changed right?

Mitsu?

"…."

Hell-o Mitsu~

"…."

This is Sora on Destiny Island calling Mitsu. Do you hear me Mitsu?

The blue haired girl slowly opened her eyes and used an arm to shield the bright sun that shone down on their little home away from home, Destiny Island. With her eyes half-lidded she focused on the young teen that peeked from above. With a short groan, she swiped at the teen and rolled over on to her side and away from the teen.

"Oh c'mon. Wake up already," Sora sighed heavily.

"You guys took too long, I'm tired," Mitsu huffed.

"But you just woke up! It's barely the afternoon! You're just as lazy as Riku," Sora huffed as he sat down next to the young teen.

The teen suddenly rolled over to face Sora with a pout on her lips, Sora smirked.

"That got your attention," Sora grinned. Mitsu huffed as she propped up her head up and began drawing shapes in the golden sand. Though the two were silent, Destiny Islands spoke for them. The cool breeze flowed through the island, through the foliage while the soft crashing of the nearly blue ocean waves crashed along the shore, a small heaven away from the mainland.

"Were you dreaming again?" Sora asked as he noticed the oddly shaped necklace that hung around her neck.

"Yeah..." Mitsu trailed off.

"Same dream?"

"Yup," She replied. For the past two weeks, Mitsu had told her friends about a strange dream that she had and she continued to have the same dream. A man cloaked completely in black, everything about the man was hidden from her. His voice was unfamiliar to her, but the message was always the same.

It's your Destiny

"I have no clue what it means, or why I keep having it. I told my aunt about it, she said it should pass soon," Mitsu replied.

"Hopefully? It's not bothering you is it?" Sora questioned his attention still on her necklace.

"Nah," Mitsu waved off the boy's concern but noticed where his attention was.

"You know you never told where you got that necklace from," Sora said pointing at her necklace. Mitsu instinctively touched the oddly shaped necklace, the necklace was something that had been with her since she could remember, but who had given it to her was shrouded in the depths of her memories.

"I have no clue who gave this to me, but I feel like I've had it for a long time," Mitsu replied as her fingertips ran over the metal. The general shape of the necklace was simple but with jagged edges, it had the shape of a heart but the inner lines crossed inside of the heart and the tail of the heart crossed as well. The normal smooth edges were jagged almost sharp to the touch, but she wore the necklace with an issue.

"That's a bummer," Sora said as he sat cross-legged in the sand, his attention now on the open ocean.

"Are the others awake?" Mitsu asked as she sat up and stretched.

"Kairi is eating breakfast and I don't know about Riku, he could be sleeping still," Sora replied and turned towards their little dock. Only Sora's and Mitsu's boats were docked there, in an hour or so there would be more.

"You should go wake him up," Sora said as he stood up.

"I was planning on it...since you're banned from his room," Mitsu stood as began to cautiously dust herself off, in an attempt to not get sand into the boy's eyes.

"He'd probably kill me if I set foot in his room while he's sleeping again," A grin spread from ear to ear on the boy's face. Mitsu giggled as she thought back to what exactly got the boy banned from the older boy's room.

"That's because you scared the crap outta him with your psychotic moose doll thing,"

"Ok, so it's not mine, I found it. And you should have been there," Sora began as he began to laugh. "His scream was so high pitched!"

"You know he would deny it ever happening," Mitsu replied and laughed.

"It was PRICELESS, Mitsu. I will never forget it," Sora laughed as he fell back into the sand

Normal morning visits, meeting at Destiny Island and hanging out for the rest of the day was normal for the group of friends, so were pranks. Of course, the entire group would be in on the prank against one another but Sora had decided to deliver a special wake up call to the older white-haired boy. Needless to say it got Sora banned from entering his room.

Sora had learned the hard way no to pull a prank on the girl, a coconut to the face was all he needed to learn.

"Ok I'll go get him," Mitsu said.

"Sounds like a plan, I'll meet you guys on the other side," Sora said as he pointed at the island across from them. Mitsu nodded and took off to her boat and to the main island to wake up the older boy.

Knock! Knock!

Seconds later the door opened revealing a white-haired woman with a gentle and warm smile, it was Riku's mother.

"Good morning," Mitsu said as she smiled. The woman smiled as she ushered Mitsu to the home.

"Good morning Mitsu, I supposed you're on wake up duty right? She asked with a knowing smile, Mitsu nodded.

"Yep! I'm on wake up duty," Mitsu replied.

"Perhaps that's a good thing instead of taking a few years off of Riku's life by scaring him half to death," Riku's mother gave a small laugh, Mitsu giggled.

"You know where to find him," His mother said as she disappeared into the kitchen.

"Thank you," Mitsu said and made her way up to Riku's room. She quietly opened the door to the boy's room and peeked inside, his room was always spotless, dim and cool despite the warmth that bathed the island constantly. With a quiet snort, Mitsu made her way over to the dark curtains and opened flung them open bathing the room in sunlight.

"RISE AND SHINE RIKU!" Mitsu yelled as she continued to fling the curtains open until every window in the room had been opened. Riku jerked awake and quickly shielded his eyes with the nearest thing he could grab, his pillow and blanket.

"I said RISE AND SHINE Riku," Mitsu repeated herself as she stood at the end of the boy's bed. Riku's grunt was muffled by the pillow and blanket he used to shield his head from the sun's rays. With a frown, Mitsu huffed and moved to the side of the bed yanked the pillow from him, she promptly whacked him with it.

"Uhn!" Riku grunted.

"Up!" Mitsu yelled as she held his pillow above her head ready to hit him again. Riku held up his hand trying to block the pillow.

"Ok! Ok! I'm up. I'm up…don't hit me," Riku said as he slowly sat up.

"Good," Mitsu said and smiled. She tossed the pillow on his bed, then walked over to the balcony doors and opened them.

"What time is it? Did I oversleep?" Riku asked as he stared at Mitsu groggily.

"You did, everyone is at the island waiting for you," Mitsu replied and looked at him from the balcony doors. Riku looked at Mitsu, and she at him. After a few moments, Mitsu crossed her arms.

"Are you going to get dressed or are we going to have a staring contest?" Mitsu asked.

Riku stared at the girl silently for a few moments later before a large yawn came from him. "I'm getting, I'm getting," Riku murmured as he got up and headed to the bathroom.

"Hurry up! We don't have all day," Mitsu shouted after the older teen.

"Well excuse ME, your majesty," Riku called back.

After her small boat was secure Kairi made her way on to Destiny Island and casually made her way over to the hut when she realized a person sprawled out on the beach.

It was Sora.

"Hey Sora," Kairi called as she walked over to the teen and quickly found out that he was asleep. With a sigh she nudged the boy with her foot, he didn't move. The young teen leaned over and flicked the boy in the nose, jolting the sleeping teen awake.

"OW! What the heck!" Sora yelped as his eyes shot open and focused on his assailant. An innocent smile was plastered on the redhead's face as she peered down at the teen.

"OW! Kairi! What the heck was that for?" Sora asked while rubbing his forehead.

"You sir are sleeping on the job," Kairi replied with a small giggle.

"Sleeping on the job? Mitsu and Riku aren't even here yet!" Sora protested.

"Uh-huh," Kairi replied.

"Cut him some slack Kairi. He's a natural born slacker," Riku said as he walked towards Kairi and Sora.

"Says that person that overslept," Mitsu said as she also walked towards the two.

"Hey-" Riku started. Sora huffed at the three that stood near him before he quickly got to his feet and dusted the sand from his shorts.

"I got bored while waiting," Sora replied as he looked at his friends.

"Natural born slacker indeed," Kairi said and walked towards the hut, Riku chuckled and followed Kairi.

"Come on Sora. Let's go," Mitsu said and started walking towards the shed.

"You guys suck," Sora huffed and followed his friends.

As the group made their way into their hut they began to plan out their day. Weeks ago the group agreed to explore past the golden sands of Destiny Island, it started as an idea that quickly caught on by the others and soon they were all working towards building a raft to fit all of them. Their curiosity burst at the seams of what lied outside of the calm and sleepy like town where they resided.

"We're almost done with the raft right?" Mitsu asked as she looked at the drawings of a really simple raft.

"Yeah, just a few things and we are done," Riku replied as he took looked down at the drawings.

"Since we're so close to finishing the raft we should look for other necessities...you know like food and stuff," Kairi commented. The grouped nodded in agreement.

"Sora, let's hurry and finish the raft tonight so we can leave early tomorrow morning," Riku said as he turned to Sora.

"Sounds like a plan, let's do this Riku," Sora smirked and so did Riku.

"That leaves us Mitsu. We can gather the other things while the guys do all of the hard work," Kairi said.

"Sounds like a plan," Mitsu replied.

The group looked at each other to confirm their tasks before they split off, Sora and Riku were to finish the raft, while Mitsu and Kairi began to search around on the island for food and journeyed back to the main island to pick up smaller equipment.

"Since you can climb trees let's get some coconuts," Kairi said. Mitsu laughed.

"What about you? I know you can climb trees too," Mitsu added.

"I'm not in the right clothes to climb trees, you are though," Kairi said sheepishly. Mitsu looked at her clothes, Kairi was right she was wearing clothes more considered for climbing, dark blue capris that had suspenders attached to them, a white tank top.

"Can I throw them at people?" Mitsu joked as she sized up the tree that stood in front of her.

"Maybe a couple," Kairi replied with a smirk.

With the soft waves and the warm breeze around Destiny Island, the group was hard at work for the rest of the day completing every task they had set out for themselves before their big day out on the open waters. Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Mitsu gathered at the large Paopu fruit tree to recollect themselves and take count of what had been done or if there were any additional things needed.

"The raft is finished," Riku said his attention on the ocean waters that were stained with oranges, purples, indigos of the setting sun above.

"That means that this will be our last sunset from here…" Kairi trailed off, she knew what was to come tomorrow.

"I'm sure we will see better sunsets while we're out there," Mitsu added, Sora nodded.

"Yup, but let's enjoy this one while we're still here," Sora added with a cheeky smile. The four teenagers nodded in agreement and continued to watch the sunset in silence, enjoying the sounds of the waves, and the warm breeze.

"Hey Riku," Sora started breaking the silence between the group.

"Yeah?" Riku asked.

"You know, I never got my rematch," Sora began as he looked down at the older teen from the Paopu fruit tree root.

"Heh, you're just gonna lose again Sora," Riku smirked as he looked up at Sora.

"We'll see about that!" Sora said as his eye twitched as he remembered all the times he and Riku sparred. He lost the majority of those fights.

"I wanna fight too," Mitsu said as she looked over her shoulder at the two boys. Kairi hopped off the root and started running towards the beach.

"Last one there fights last not including me!" Kairi yelled as she ran towards the hut.

"H-Hey!" Sora yelled. Mitsu shot up and quickly ran after Kairi, in seconds Riku was right behind her with his signature smirk plastered on his face.

"H-HEY You jerks!" Sora shouted after his friends as he jumped off the large tree root and ran after his three friends.

Within a few seconds the teenagers were, on the beach, Mitsu and Riku both had wooden swords in their hands and were staring each other down. The winner of the race was clear as the two began to circle each other. Normally it was just Riku and Sora that sparred with their wooden swords against each other, but ever since they met and became friends with Mitsu she participated in their playful sparring as much as they would let her. She was completely opposite of the redhaired girl.

"Go!" Kairi yelled. Sora sat crosslegged on the beach with a pout on his lips as he watched the eldest of his friends spar.

"This sucks!" Sora pouted.

Riku dashed at Mitsu and effortlessly swiped horizontally at the girl, she, in turn, copied the white-haired teen's movement but in opposite and effectively avoided his swipe. She moved almost as quickly as the teen and retaliated with an upwards swiped to nearly catching Riku under his chin. Riku jumped back and quickly charged back, Mitsu followed and charged as well. Their wooden swords clacked against each other. Riku pushed back, Mitsu also pushed back.

"Seems like you've gotten stronger Mitsu. I'm surprised," Riku teased.

"Just because you're taller doesn't mean you're stronger, Riku," Mitsu teased back. Riku smirked and Mitsu grinned.

"Oh I'm shaking in my boots, what are you gonna do?" Riku goaded

"I'm gonna kick your but that's what," Mitsu replied. With a grunt of exertion, the two jumped back and began to circle one another again.

"Wow, Mitsu has gotten a lot better. She's going to give you a run for your munny Sora," Kaira giggled as she continued to watch the two spar.

"No way! If I can beat Riku then I can beat her too," Sora protested.

"If you can beat him," Kairi grinned as she gave the teen a knowing look.

"Don't look at me like that Kairi, you're supposed to be on my side," Sora huffed.

Riku smirked and charged at Mitsu again, Mitsu stood in a defensive stance as Riku rushed towards her, he swiped at her again she spun around him dodging the attack, he quickly turned around to retaliate but saw Mitsu's weapon at his neck. For the first time, she had bested him.

"Mitsu wins!" Kairi announced the winner excitedly.

"No way…she beat Riku before me," Sora sighed.

Riku stood silently and placed a hand on to his hip as he looked at the girl in front of him. He swiped the air a few times with his wooden sword before he smirked at the girl.

"Good job. You're not all bark but you bite back unlike someone we know," Riku said with a smirk.

"HEY!" Sora shouted

"Well sometimes you gotta handle yourself and I did," Mitsu replied with a nonchalant shrug. Riku laughed.

"Stop being cocky Riku!" Kairi yelled.

Without warning Riku was tackled into the water, leaving Mitsu confused and weapon-less. Mitsu looked at Sora who was on top of Riku with the wooden sword she previously had in her hand.

"Wow…I didn't know he could move like that. His feelings must be hurt," Kairi commented as she casually walked over to Mitsu.

"How could you let her beat you? I was supposed to beat you!" Sora yelled at Riku.

"Well you lost your chance," Riku said as he stood knee deep in water.

"UGH! Come on let's go! You're going to lose twice today!" Sora yelled as he held his sword pointing it at Riku.

"You can try!" Riku yelled and charged at Sora.

20 minutes later and two fights later Kairi and Sora were splashing around in on the beach in the water, on the other hand, Mitsu was fuming at Riku.

"Kyaa!" Kairi squeaked as she shielded her face from being splashed.

"Hahah!" Sora yelled as he continued to splash Kairi. Kairi suddenly kicked water at Sora catching him off guard.

"woah!" Sora said as he started to shield his face from being splash.

"Yaaah! Take this Sora!" Kairi yelled as she ran after him splashing water at him.

"UGH! Riku you suck!" Mitsu yelled as she stormed away to the other side of the Paopu fruit Island.

"Hey! Come back here!" Riku yelled after her as he followed her.

"OW! Kairi! Don't throw pebbles!" Sora yelled as he ran away from Kairi who was splashing him and throwing pebbles at him.

"Payback Sora! Take this!" Kairi said as she continued her attack on Sora.

"Uwaaaah~" Sora whined as he tried to run away from Kairi.

Using the large foliage as a shield, Mitsu was rung out her shirt that was soaked because of water that Riku had dropped on her as she watched Kairi and Sora in their splash fight. She had decided not to participate due to her clothing choice, a white shirt with no swimsuit underneath.

"Hey," Riku said as he stood on the other side of the large leaf that was shielded Mitsu from his view.

"What do you want?" Mitsu said as she crossed her arms.

"I wanted to say sorry but you kept walking," Riku began. He took a quick glance at the leaf to see a pair of cerulean blue eyes glaring back at him.

"You did it on purpose," Mitsu huffed.

"I didn't know you weren't wearing a swimsuit underneath," Riku replied.

"It's not like you're supposed to know," Mitsu huffed again. Riku sighed softly and ran a hand through his white hair and looked at the glaring girl.

"Look, I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?" Riku asked softly. He could see the girl's eyes studying him before she gave him the answer that he was looking for.

"Fine. But you're still a jerk!" Mitsu replied as she pushed aside the large leaf and stood in front of the older teen with her arms crossed.

"I think I can live with that," Riku chuckled. Mitsu placed a hand on her hip as she looked unamused at the teen, her attention was suddenly shifted to the sky that was become stained with indigos, purples and muted oranges.

"Hey, can I tell you something?" Riku asked catching Mitsu's attention again.

"It better not be a stupid joke," Mitsu commented and turned her attention back to Riku.

"Not this time...it's a little bit strange...I think," Riku replied. Mitsu arched an eyebrow as she looked studied the teen, there weren't many times where he would confide in her about much. He would always talk to the other guys before he would talk to her about something serious.

"Ok? What is it?" Mitsu asked curiously.

"Well…I had this dream…" Riku trailed off.
