Apocalypse – Prologue
Hey People, I'm AvidTeaAddict! So I had this story up in another category but I had read through it and decided that it needed some serious work! You will probably notice a change in the writing style and the reason for that is I'm collabing this story with my other half.
Any who, I know people aren't fond of reading info on the story but I really recommend that you do as you can get a picture of what the characters look like as we haven't really described them much.

Now onto the story!

To whoever finds this note,
I remember the day it began, the day everything changed, the day I lost almost everything. That day happened almost 4 years ago... how my group and I are still alive is a mystery, although we lost a few there were times we gained new members of our group.
It started out like every typical apocalypse movie, a person known as patient zero, became infected after being tested with some sort of new government drug. It was rumoured that the patient escaped its' quarantine room and began attacking the doctors and nurses in the medical lab. However we were never told what exactly happened to that patient to make them attack everyone, the news claimed that the drug had a side effect on them causing them to lose their sanity. I didn't really believe that.
Soon the infection spread as more people were bit, and the world was thrown into chaos, although the news channels managed to send out a warning broadcast. It had been telling people about places that were deemed safe by the army forces, they were known as Quarantine Zones. Those who hadn't been bitten soon started travelling towards their nearest QZ, no matter where you went you would see the roads completely blocked with cars hoping to escape this horrid reality.
I don't know if anyone will ever find this note, I don't even know if there is anyone alive out there or if there is a safe haven. To my family and friends... I'm sorry. I don't know if any of you are alive but if by some stroke of luck you are... I hope we can meet again.
