Drowning Bird
Rated:T
Summary: Short poem about Spike's willingness to live how he does.
Looking around is no simple task. How could it be when you see the past and present simultaneously? You're stagnant in your own life because you're stuck. Drowning in past memories, while trying to float in current reality. That's not what you see. A blond haired woman that you've clung to. She's your life preserver; your savior. She is the key to your awakening. Time spent searching for her pulls you down even more. She's there by way of memory. That part keeps you hoping as nothing else can. Her presence in the now hasn't made itself clear to you yet. Yet at the sound of her name you jump. She's been hidden for so long. Why? Why anchor yourself to her? Why keep sink deeper and deeper?
