I am who I am.
It is not something that anyone can change.
I am the hunter.
They are the prey.
It is just who we are, they and I.
These are the roles that Fate has chosen for us.
They run.
I chase.
They fear me because of this.
They can do nothing about it.
So they keep running.
I keep chasing.
When I catch them, I kill them, that I may survive.
It is what we were born to do.
I was born to hunt.
They were born to die.
Neither of us stop to wonder:
Which is the true victim?

Probably inspired by that episode where the Wraith and John help each other escape from Kolya and then the Wraith saves John . . . dammit what was it called . . . oh well, lots of people wrote Wraith POV 'fics after that.
